As someone who has done game coding (using unity) and has a parent whose career is coding this video made me emotional. I never realized how much you can truly connect with people through the shared experience of coding being the worst (but also great).

I really want to get into making games in the future, it seems like fun. The most common experiences of coding I’ve heard of is finding some janky code which shouldn’t work that you don’t remember writing and being too afraid to touch for fear of it breaking or the code randomly fixing itself.

Who else thinks that having an actual FNAF arcade game could possibly be the craziest thing to ever happen for the community. Not only do we get to experience what a FNAF arcade game would be like, but also how we can finally experience those 8-bit mini game cutscenes that showed us about the lore in the original games to actually now playing them like on an actual arcade machine like if it really is from Freddy’s.

Ngl, I feel like a dumb dumb rn. I saw this video only recently pop up, and yet despite me being very fascinated by arcade games and watching others make games, I somehow didn’t want to watch. I thought it was just going to be another YTuber who was putting something out there that wasn’t worth my time. Boy was I wrong. This whole video reminded me of why I love watching people make games, learning about old things that I never got to experience, and just watching something big go through so much passion and process. It got me excited to try and make my own little game in the future when I have everything figured out, plus have the tools I necessarily need. This was really fun to watch, and you are SUCH a champ pushing through and getting it done. This was a really big inspiration, and I’m glad you’re proud of it in the end.

This is one of the best games I’ve seen in a long time. It didn’t start out as a cash grab or something to grab onto a recent trend for views it was started for fun, and went through with that idea until the end. I’m sure that 90% of the viewers on this channel felt absolute joy upon the release of this video because they got to see what had happened over the course of the two years of silence. Although a lot of people worried - including myself - this seems like an incredibly satisfying payoff. Bravo.

The fact that you took 2 years to make a entire game, and seeing a whole new perspective on how your fangame’s scope got bigger and bigger, the burden of burnout and self doubt, and how you started from knowing basically nothing about game development to developing a giant indie game by yourself (with help on music, learning game development, and your brother help you assemble the arcade cabinet) and seeing this giant perfectionist struggle to create a game wrapped up in a 1 hour video is insane. 16 gold stars out of 5!

I'm not a game developer by any means. I'm an artist and a fanfiction writer. Currently, I'm working on a rather... Big fanfiction, featuring Danganronpa (pretty much a fan-game, but in a form of a fic with pictures). And I keep losing motivation for it. But every time I watch this video, I just get a motivation punch. Cause "Hey, look, people finish projects ten times more complex than yours in solo, it means that you can do that too!". The game itself looks insanely polished. People working on pure enthusiasm make games with soul in them, as they want their games to be the best for them in the first place. And this will to make it good creates literal masterpieces. Yes, maybe not without problems. But they're not soulless. Indie developers working for themselves (without a will to make a quick cashgrab) make the games they would want to play, and such games are played with much more pleasure (doesn't mean there won't be rage quits though-). I like the pixel art of the game, it's just so... So damn detailed. The shadows, the highlights, the way the sprites are drawn and placed, tha atmosphere they create is just perfect, in my opinion. Kinda drawing for fanfiction at the moment, while the vid is playing at the background. Thank you for motivation, Andy. Thank you very much :3

Heh, just like a sister to make the brother do all the hard work and then take the fun job of making the game. Grannies aren't the only ones who knit and you should give it a try, because it's very relaxing and can be set aside at a moment's notice and picked back up again when you have a few minutes or even done absentmindedly while watching TV. Also, you may feel like you don't want to make another game now, but do something simpler and a lot of times and eventually you'll gain enough experience to be fast at it as well as enjoy the process more. Although, it really would help if you fully learned how to program too.

Holy crap Andie! The amount of time and effort you put into this project is astounding. I never knew how hard it was to create a video game from scratch, let alone with 8 separate endings and on top of all that, transferring it to home made arcade machine. We appreciate you, all your work and dedication to the community plus your channel, Truly the queen of fnaf. ❤

I really admire how you put passion into everything you do. I too have the desire to jump into things that are highly challenging. That includes programming! But I simply don't have the stamina to carry me through to actually finishing basically anything. Maybe someday, but the main difference for me is I don't have a youtube audience to share my finished products with. I imagine that is highly motivating. I think it's awesome that you kept on going even though the work was hard and never ending. Congratulations!

You should place this in a few arcades and make it like the next polybius. Something people remember seeing in the arcade, it disappears, some people don’t know if it was real or if they imagined it, but never knowing what the story is with it. Thats a stretch tho 😂
