Andis Double Magnet Guards VS Single Magnet Guards

Best magnetic comparison video out there. I had to buy the singles, because uk Andis clippers have screw placement like Wahl, and only the singles fit. But after trying them for a while, I went back to Wahl, because we at least get the premium guards here. Want Andis to make those exact doubles in single form. Come on Andis, fix up!

You didn’t mention why Andis has two different models of magnetic guards. The magnet positions on the body are designed for different models of clippers/blades. If you get a blade that’s not compatible, the magnet will just slide on the screws that hold the blade in place. But if you have a compatible model, the magnet won’t rest on the screws and will be flush to the blade. The double magnets even tell you what models they are compatible with on the packaging. Read the packaging before you buy so you don’t waste time and money.

I just ordered the double magnets today. I've rocked with the singles for about 3 years just because I didnt know any better and they had actually stopped selling the double magnets for a while. The single magnet #2 has been my biggest trouble maker. Theu just dont blend into a 1 what so ever. Hopefully these double magnets dont give me the same problem

My single magnets fits my fast feeds but double cut better but they both fit the fast feed the same

if you ever put a ceramic blade on your fast feeds it will cause it to rattle with the single magnet

Has anyone noticed that the 0 and 1 gaurds single magnet cut a little shorter than the double magnet 0 and 1?

You need to count the teeth, you have it reversed. The single magnet one has 12 teeth, and the double magnet one has eleven.

Thanks man I wasn’t sure if the single magnet was gonna fit on the fast feed and I wanted to make sure before buying on Amazon. Would’ve sucked to buy it only to realize it doesn’t fit.

Very low quality from andis. Like C'mon man people are spending good money on these clippers and guards and i feel Andis are taking shortcuts to save/make money. The doubles cut good why would they change them? No wonder why Andis dont sell in the UK... they cant even make clippers gaurds fade correctly.

Rani Barbiere im talking about the single magnets. Andis are pretty much non-exsistant here in the UK. Very slack from them.

I prefer the single magnet because the single magnet sits in between the blade mounting screws on detachable blades.. Tight fit on the 000 blade

honestly the single magnets are good but depends what clippers they go on. for example the double magnets works best with the improved andis masters vise the single magnets works well with the surgical blade andis masters. I believe is cause the way the guards are shaped. the double magnets the teeth are a bit flatter vise the single magnets are rounder which if you put a curved improved master blade on double magnets works well the guard and blade compliment each other likewise the single magnet with the surgical blade. Check it out. the blends actually come out nicer on the single magnets with surgical andis masters blade. you might need the speedo guard at times if you don't know how to free hand a bit.

Only downside to the double magnets is like the envys they don't fit the new andis pro alloys which have become one of my favorite clippers. Gotta use the single magnets on those

I specifically went out looking for the single magnet because I have several Andis Envys. As you said, the placement of the screws don't allow the double magnet guards set in all the way, thus allowing them to move a bit

The double magnet guards fit the Andis Masters and the Oster Fast Feeds. The single magnets fit just about every other Andis Clipper

Erica Bishh they do not fit any wahl clippers. I recommend getting the wahl premium guards for your 1/16 and 1 1/2
