I bet you have trouble getting from the 1 open to the 2 closed. Wahl blades/levers aren’t as long as andis, which is why andis don’t require a 1.5 guard. Though I imagine a similar guard mod can be useful for the babyliss fx

diedregoddess thank you. Oh no once they are epoxy glued on it won’t be able to fit on andis or fast feeds anymore. It’ll be to small. I had to buy another pack non modified for the andis masters. 😁

so when u use the andis guards on wahl clippers, what do u do about the transition between #1 n #2? do u not need the #1 1/2 guard anymore when u use the andis guards on wahl clippers?

klips the barber That’s why I like the andis guards. They where made in a way, where the 1 guard blends perfectly into the 2 guard. With wahl the number 1 is made to small for the 2 to blend so you need 1 1/2 in between.

Actually the #1 1/2 Wahl guard is the same as #2 Andis Guard. I notice #2 Andis guard is smaller than #2 Wahl Guard. And new 1 1/2 Andis single magnetic guard is smaller than 1 1/2 Wahl guard.

Because your 1/2 guard was eaten by your zero-gap blade. Replace it or adjust your blade not zero-gap.

I use my single magnet andis guards on my magic clips and they fit perfectly. The only negative is they guards aren’t as precise at the double magnet guards. What if I use epoxy glue to add a third magnet on some double magnet guards?

It's true. I just used the single magnetic in the shop. Single guards on a detachable # 000 clip. The one blends into the two. Newer single magnetic. I couldn't believe it

Andis just make better guards. The Andis guards have longer teeth, so hair feeds much better than Wahl guards. I dont know why it took Wahl so many years to make a guard with a metal clip. Andis had them years ago.
