Lets go dude! super happy to hear that you met with Andis! I have been watching your channel for a little over a year, I have to say, I am SO hyped that andis is coming out with a new detachable. It's beyond exciting. I think that detachables get a lot of shade in the industry during school because they are so much more expensive than a clipper with a guard system. However, the fact of the matter is that a detachable system simply fades better than one with a lever from a 1 up. The eMerge looks incredible and I have to say, I am so excited to feel that new weight distribution! Id love to hear a video where you detail your opinions on shears. The blades that you really need are the 1, 1A and 1 1/2. You can build into everything else. Your one should blend into your lever fully open. The blades that I would get after this are the 2, 3 and 4 (3 and 3/4). Then you'll be an unstoppable fading machine and your clients will come back everytime

Great review... I have about 14 blades from my turbo 111 and bgrv. I went away from the detachable blades after the brushless rotor motor clippers took over. And there is no one in the Black community asking for a Travis Kelce cut LOL... It has been and will continue to be a fade.

I bet they will eventually offer a charging stand that will be sold separately as an option. I'm a long time corded 76 user. My biggest gripe with Andis detachables was that the blades would get hotter than they would on a 76. Whereas the clipper itself gets warm on a 76. This was really only an issue when balding out with a 00000. On an Andis, that blade would be burning my clients scalp before I could finish. Have you used the Emerge long enough to notice whether or not the blades get as hot as they do on your Pulse?

I’ve been using ceramic Andis blades for years with no heat issues. I’ve never really used their standard blades, before the ceramic I was onyx Oster blades

Once again another questionable Andis decision. When I left the 76 from barber school to buy the BGRC the quietness was the biggest reason for my purchase. I also still have a BGR+ that I don't get to use anymore because none of my batteries hold a charge. I currently use the Andis Supra Zr II, it gets the job done, but is a bit bulkier than the BGRC platform. My question has always been why did they need the Supra line in the first place. The BGRC feels and fits the hand better, it's quieter. You either go cord or cordless. Andis could've just made a Lithium Ion replacement battery for the unit, and it would've made the BGR line future proof.

Detachables are awesome i love my Oster 76 and and the turbo 77 i still love my corded clippers especially when i kill the batteries on my cordless clippers lol but then again what do i know I'm not a Barber just a self cut dude that likes clippers 😁 i got an old barber kit from ebay that had 2x 000's, 1, 1A OA, 1 1/2 ,2 the Skiptooth texturing blade. Came with a wahl designer lola nasty ass polyurethane cape that i threw away lol it smelled raunchy AF that stale ass smell and the case gots this faux vinyl aligator type skin texture and them oldschool foot locker hinge with a handle and combs and some igloo 7 inch shears. I cleaned and disinfected EVERYTHING really good before reusing everything. I scrubbed them with Ajax with Bleach, Bar keepers friend let them sit in Andis 7 in 1 for about an hour and bought ceramic blades for them and they work well except for the 1Ai think i tightened it to much but hey for 40 bucks that's a come up in my opinion. The ceramic blades from andis alone was like 60 bucks but for all those blades to me they might as well be brand new. I love the old school vintage clippers and don't mind the cords at all. I know some might think screw all that but hey its been taxing but fun as all hell.

Nice content. Nice job explaining the product. But I am all done with Andis. why on earth would you make a brand new detachable with an hour and a half runtime, and no charging stands. This company makes absolutely no sense. Their products make absolutely no sense if you’re looking to get yourself a detachable clipper. The Oster octane is the best cordless clipper ever made.

Honestly…. I just wish Andis would re-release the Phat Master Blade and the 1 3/4 Blade I don’t know why they keep dropping pointless clippers and the Supra is the Boss but the Pulse is the GOAT!

@FaTaL1h I need to get a decibel reader. The nylon blade drive is usually where sound will change on these machines. For the comparison I did put a brand new one on the pulse right before. And it did quiet it down considerably. But the eMerge was still more quiet. When I spoke with Matt Andis about it, he said they went back to a polymer in the plastic that was more like the bgr. The bgr had a lot of nylon in it and maybe it’s just more shock absorbing

That depends on the blade size. Only the 000, 0000, and 00000 receive the fine cutter. 0A and up get the course cutter

@@thewoodshedbarber only because all I'd do with it is debulk & maybe clipper over a comb, that's what? 1/4 to 1/3 of a haircut? So at 1/4 to 1/3 the price of a haircut, how long would they take to pay for themselves. I used 76ers for awhile, so I'm not opposed to detachables, they leave great texture, but I'm not paying that much for any clipper of any kind. Maybe I'm just too cheap 🤷‍♂️
