I loved this series. Top show of the year for me. The world building, the grounding of Star Wars in a real world of the empire in a truly scary way, the writing, acting, cinematography, score. It’s all top tier movie quality. I also love the details woven in, like Marva saying she was looking for the old tunnels and people seemed to think she was nuts, but yet those tunnels are now clear and used in the finale to help with the fight and rescue. Plus I’ve heard the intro music, which I’d noticed changed weekly, when put together is the funeral music. That level of detail is amazing. Roll on season 2!

Agree with everything here - one of my favourite things about the funeral was the music, how it makes us feel about the show theme when we hear it now and the change up as they advanced! Just one example of the small details that come together so well to create the bigger picture and atmosphere! Also, maybe it's me being sentimental, but Cassian's request to Luthen to be 'taken in" had the added echo of someone looking for a new family (in the wake of this second loss)! Either way, I appreciated everyone's involvement and contribution to this show - going to be hell waiting for S2!

Like the anvil guy, Brasso when the Imperial guy messed with Bee, and the first few men they showed when the riot began. It was a huge gamble to go back home for the funeral. It seemed like the risk was too great for the reward. I'm happy the episode proved me wrong. Maarva's (relayed words) "Tell him, I love him more than anything he could ever do wrong." A mother's love summarized perfectly. Too often we learn of this after it's too late. I am blessed to have been raised by my mother alone. All of the past Birthdays and Holidays have been a beautiful proof of her sacrifice and love. Maarva gets to leave with one final glorious middle finger to the Empire!! Luthen made a critical mistake that he cannot afford to repeat in the future. He took the same route out of town and parked his ship in the same spot where he first took Cassian. Now for the hard part ..... hearing you say "May The Force Be With You, Always" and having to wait for the next SW related videos to hear it again. I love your heart felt sign offs so much!!

Andor in general is one of those shows I thought I was gonna watch maybe the first episode in fast forward and then that's it., instead I'm deeply invested and I'm watching reaction videos :). Here's something interesting in the finale that's incredibly subtle. 43:43 to 43:47 from the actual show timeline shows Luthen listening to the fighting and having what seems to be distant memory. The audio exactly here is actually of two things as he drifts in memory, the actual fighting and the later being a faint compressed ominous laughter.

It shows how well Denise Gough does and how they shot her, didn't really notice until this episode she is 5'5. She carries herself so well that you see why she is in charge. b2 shows the rule that you really want to show someone as a villain have them kick a puppy. Knocked b2 over and everyone wanted that guy dead. I wonder with Luthen too is not only is he seeing what he wants he is seeing the cost too. He was hands off and knew it was happening which is different than seeing it.

Now Meero as an ISB officer seemed so unprepared for what was happening. I mean even the Security Commander had his doubts about her plan either. Also, so much for "Elite" Death Troopers. Yet we did see that Stormtrooper were not missing shots...well for the most. I didn't think Mon would go with the introduction, but it happened and her daughter didn't seem bothered by it all. Luthen didn't kill Cassien, so Cassien will tell him about the prison. Luthen will have to investigate: 1) for the project; 2) for potential survivors of the prison. Lonni must be the one used not only to inform Luthen of the Death Star, but to be the leak Palpatine somehow knows about. Dedra may meet the Emperor because of this. Cyril may be key to helping Dedra survive disgrace before the Empire, especially since had they taken his concerns seriously Ferrix would have been shutdown sooner. If they ever figure out that Cassien has maintained three aliases that have truly cut into the activities of the Empire (Ferrix, Aldani, and Narkina 5) some folks are going need to get choked out.

Maarva's admonition and plea to the people to fight the Empire is one of my favorite things from the entire show, but I have to admit that I don't agree with her on a particular point. The Empire isn't the disease. The Empire is just a symptom, and it's a symptom of multiple diseases attacking different parts of the body of galactic society all at once. Palpatine isn't even the disease. He too, is just another symptom of a disease. Their disease is the same as ours, because they operate their society the same way we do. And we're all going to end up just like them. But worse.

I dont like Mon Mothma's husband and daughter, but to sell out your family for the rebellion is unsettling. As far as her daughter goes, if you think your 13 daughter is headed to something bad she doesn't understand the consequences of, you should try and protect them, not gift wrap them for them for the "Thug" family to exploit. I'm not sure how I feel about her anymore. Two wrongs don't make a right and what Mon is doing is wrong, even if it is "for the greater good."
