BBY stands for Before Battle of Yavin which happened during A New Hope. They used this time standard for the Star Wars EU novels.
@mikkosimonen2 жыл бұрын
At first I was a bit iffy on seeing it used here, since obviously people in this time period would not use an event that hasn't happened yet for counting years, but then I realised it gave the show the feel of having happened a long, long time ago and we're looking at a sort of historical record.
@MM-vs2et2 жыл бұрын
@@mikkosimonen Usually units of time are detached from the world that it is describing, it's a decent way to establish the time. Everyone in Kassa's group are young. No adults at all. I'm guessing whatever happened to the adults, happened a few years back when he was six years old (and his sister was probably just a baby), and the group has been trying to survive on their own ever since.
@scarlettmi2 жыл бұрын
I don't know why people think that he was counting the beginning of his fight from *these* flashbacks and assuming that's what he's referring to and are like "he's not six there". Perhaps he counts from whatever happened when he actually was 6. Whatever mining "accident" killed all the adults on his world could have been where he believes his fight began.

There is no continuity problem. We see Andor in these particular flashbacks when he's older than 6 but that doesn't conflict at all to his line in Rogue One since we haven't seen anything prior to these scenes. There was obviously more going on in Kenari before we see him at this point in time.

17:18 honestly, that is something I noted and while I absolutely love the show, I'm not sure how well Cassian's character will line up with the one we see in Rogue One. Not only is the "I've been in this fight since I was 6-years-old" line misleading. But more importantly in Rogue he seems to act so high and mighty about how he's been devoted to the Rebel cause, when he if anyone should relate to Jyn. He spends basically the whole first season of this show being like Jyn, only out for themselves and dismissive of the rebellion. So if this same Andor would meet Jyn, I'd imagine he would be more sympathetic and try to appeal to Jyn from the perspective of someone who has a very similar background.

This is the first time I’ve been genuinely excited about Star Wars in a long time. It feels fresh and new again. No shoehorning jokes and cameos and recycling the same iconography. It’s a mature and gritty slowburn and not concerned with just selling toys. And the writing, cinematography, and performances are on a whole other for level. Imagine if Obi-Wan Kenobi and Book of Boba Fett had this kind of money, care and craft put into it. I hope this sets the standard for Star Wars going forward. 10/10

This is the story about how he becomes Morally Questionable Spy hiding a kind heart, willing to do anything to fight the Empire... Now... It is true that those two officers were basically abusing their position to obtain a bribe from Cassian and therefore it was their fault what happened to them. But even so what the Chief said and wanted to do being just letting the matter be labeled as an accident out of convenience it's basically an act of corruption, the Deputy although inexperienced should commended for wanting to solve this case. And yes I know this security company it's working under the rule of the Empire but still... The attitude of the Deputy towards solving a crime in the name of justice it's very noble and should not be laughed at. The vibe I'm getting from this series is not of good vs evil but just people trying to survive and live up to their ideals.
