Jahrhunderts!!

At 30:15 he's kidding himself a little. The wrist is indeed moving a teensy, but nobody likes a nitpicker, and besides, who cares?!. He was a great, great cellist and pedagogue. A wonderful and beautiful man. BTW, as far as an English translation, the French used here is rather simple and consists of at least 60% cognates. I don't see why a translation should be necessary. And that's not snobbery, I'm no great shakes in the French language, lord knows, but I understand all of this.

For your information, he is speaking in French, but we can't hear anything because it is covered by the translation in German....I speak French, but not German.

In which year was this filmed? Thanks
@cellokratzer8 жыл бұрын
All I know is that is was filmed during his professorship in Vienna, which was from 1973 until his death in 1988

So does this mean he filmed it privately? Do you know if it was distributed privately as well, or could one buy the video somewhere? I'm writing my master thesis and will need to reference it as well as possible, that's why I'm asking. Thanks for your help...

It was a production of the Vienna Hochule für Musik, 1977 as I know now - never on sale - PN for more info if needed
