Mu Dad is one of the pipers here on the stage. He sadly passed away on Christmas Dad 2022. The Scottish Reading pipeband played in front of his hearse as it took my Dad to his final resting place. They played Highland Cathedral during his funeral. My Dad, Gerry's favourite. Wonderful to watch, so proud of my Dad ❤❤Gerry McDonald RIP. ❤️ xxx

Im a kiwi..grandfather from Scotland to NZ via South Africa. he died in Chch in 1918. but the roots are still strong..love the pipes and drums...

Believe me it is. I have loads of videos, watched them on the television, and on KZbin/Facebook, but nothing compares to actually being there. I was at Sheffield Arena last week, it was truly wonderful experience. 😁

Saw this show live in Glasgow last night and all I can say is what an amazing experience, was in tears at both Highland Cathedral and Amazing Grace...very emotional but absolutely excellent

@@laurengaming3176 I've been lucky enough to see his live shows in Glasgow quite a few times now and have to say the one on Saturday night there was one of his best yet and always delivers an amazing unforgettable experience. Big thank you to Andre and his orchestra for all their hard work and for putting on such an excellent show...and a very emotional one at that with the pipe band

Watched the Andre Rieu concert in Maastricht also with a pipe band from The Netherlands and it was very touching. Fyi the end is similar to the 5 may (liberty day in The Netherlands) at the Amstel river in Amsterdam. With every year another orchestra. Watch it live (for free) or try to find it on KZbin

Watching this video reminds me of when years ago I worked at an IRISH restaurant and it was ST PATRICK'S DAY and, the bag pipers came and played, across the street was another IRISH RESTAURANT, and 2 doors down was another IRISH RESTAURANT, and I actually loved to listen to the music, what a joy, and because I am from Honolulu, my good friend is IRISH, and his 2 brothers went to ST LOUIS and come to find out that his father worked with my aunt at FORT Shafter,credit union, because everyone in HAWAII knows everyone funny but true, his name is Michael Coleman, and his wife is Kaleo,Chinese HAWAIIAN Kaleo went to Sacred Hearts HIGH school for girls, as did my mother, small world, but that was years ago, but I never forgot it, because I am from Honolulu
