I know in the last few years of his life he suffered a lot of physical problems, and I'm in no way making fun of or making light of his condition, but he seems to be really struggling to sing. Growing up I heard so many of his songs and always knew him to have a real strong voice. So what was it that made it so hard for him to sing (as it sounds in this video and in others)?

It might have been because of throat cancer he had. Andraé Crouch had cancer 4 times

Even through his struggles, you can still hear the annointing. The annointing is something you can't take away from him.

@William Taylor, good question. I was wondering the same thing because I love this man of God so much. After a little research I saw a video here on KZbin where he gives his personal testimony about how he lost his voice overnight. Other videos and comments reveal that he might have suffered a slight stroke in the latter years. Regardless, God used this man mightly and I'm a living proof of his obedience and legacy.

The interesting thing is his mind was as intact and as clear as ever. His musical expression and anointing through his fingers were not touched by his trials.
