Such a powerful message of hope from one who's walked through those darkest paths, and can now see the future and know the worst is over and done. For those of us still wrestling with our demons, this song has so much hope and meaning. Today, I am grateful Joe Cocker and his music, and the Crusaders.

'I'm So Glad I'm Standing Here Today' was written by the Crusaders with Joe Cocker in mind. It was a message of hope and survival after Joe over-came alcohol addiction. Joe agreed to sing the song on the Crusaders track and the rest is history. Greatness like Joe Cocker and the Crusaders can perform any category of artistic music composition and it becomes a hit.

Every time I listen to this song, I start bawling like a baby! 😢 I can relate to what he's singing about. While I've never been addicted to alcohol or drugs, there have been countless times when I've felt hopeless and frustrated with myself. 😡

I love the song, and I love Joe's recording of it. But this live version is hard to watch. He looks terrible, and his voice is shredded from years of screaming. It moved me though. Here he is singing about going through hardships, and it is evident that he has been through a few himself. But he keeps on singing. Hard to watch but beautiful.
