Winter Camping on a Mountain in Heavy Winds

Join me on a two-day winter survival camping Journey in the mountains.
It was a tough battle with the winds... My tent almost got blown away, all of my gear froze and I couldn't even close my eyes for a minute.
But in the end, it was all worth it!

We have the same climate here in switzerland, 1.5m snow in 3 days. Yesterday was one of the best freeride days of the season! Great Video as always!!

Great lil overnighter. And great views in the morning, all worth it! You made me really laugh behind my computer man, you can meticulously climb deadly steep slopes solo in the middle of winter by night and with eyes closed, but when it comes to prepare 3 small hrenovke you almost set the whole mountain on fire 😅🤣 Can't wait to see you sleep a whole and good night in the wild, hope the next will be the one.

Tent line secured on your backpack and even stronger wind won’t blow your tent away. But you might want to upgrade at somepoint to something more sturdy. It’s your saferoom. Cool video as always

I was on Raduha last weekend (the warm one)! ;) I started from Luce and than slept in the forest near Robanov Kot. The next day Ojstrica and back to Luce. One of the best weekend trips so far here in Slovenia!

We had the same climate in Luxembourg, it was boiling with 22 degrees for a week and then morning temperatures went below 0 degrees and highs of 7 degrees with some snow during the night!

I don’t know if it’s always been like that, but the last few years April or May always have at least one proper snoswtorm here in our country… So most seasons fruits like apples and pears won’t even grow above 500m anymore because it always gets frozen during the blossoming time…

This is out of the Triglav national park, so it’s not strictly prohibited, but I’m not entirely sure what the camping law is outside the park.

Bro calm down its quite a costly mistake and he did not know the wind would be so strong probably, otherwise cooking in a tent with a stove or smth like that is perfectly fine as long as you dont light A FIRE. Dont be so rude

Why not? It’s totally fine to cook in your tent as long as you have a window open. Tents are also made of some kind of plastic material, so it’s not like they can catch on fire. About the wind… There was supposed to be wind from the North, and I was counting on that, so I was supposed to be safe from the wind on the south face… but instead the wind was blowing from the east, west, and south. Everywhere but North… 🙃
