I really don’t think this dude could put out anything I didn’t like. I don’t understand, he said he wasn’t putting out anymore music because he didn’t want to be a 40 yr old rapper. But 3000 is way much more than just a rapper to me. I grew up on OutKast. He’s an Icon as far as rapping singing fashion performances etc. Man I want this dude to drop another album so bad. Not only for me but for the culture. But this is a good song. I miss and lost my mom and dad too about a month between each other over 20 years ago. You never forget. You have to learn how to deal. God bless.
@DOwens-mz4hx6 жыл бұрын
Ps. A funny story. Me and my cousin were in highschool around 92-93 when Players ball broke. We took a Black college tour through a program at our school that would take us to Atlanta. So we knew OutKast was from the ATL so we was geeked. The plan was to find a record store down there and get some OutKast music no one had heard especially in Ohio. So we get down there and we’re at the underground which I believe is like downtown. So we’re walking around find a record store. Walk in and asked this White dude that was working there if they had any OutKast. And he didn’t know what we were talking about. 😳 The looks on our faces was pure disappointment as we had to turn around out of that record store. With no new material from our new favorite rappers. 😂.

@benson343626 жыл бұрын
Outkast will drop another album. Right now, they just don't need to. We all know songs have been wrote. Clearly, Andre proves that here. Yes, they are the most iconic hip hop/rap group duo, but one of the greatest groups all together. We'll see another album. Just not this year.

@@gmhXVII read your comment and completely broke down. I lost my father on December 28th of last year; he was my rock, and my very best friend. Navigating this life without him is beyond hard, but I know I’m blessed to have spent 31 years with him, getting to learn and laugh, travel and relax, many things that most don’t get to do. This song really hits home, as I feel like music is truly the best expression for the realness and pain you experience from the lost feeling obtained when losing our parents. I pray that you find peace and happiness in this crazy world, because deep down, I’m sure you know that’s exactly what your mom would want too.

Everything she did was out of the love in her heart to help everyone but her self..... If it was an option on my kids i would chop off an arm just to see her again, feel my mothers touch again, Id give anything just to be able to talk to her again.... And mind you I have brought this up in the barbershops and in the streets and everyone agreed he’s boring , lame , and definitely not even in anyone’s top 20 . I damn near started crying to this. Andre really poured his heart out here, it's nice to hear something new from him. Happy Mother's Day to all!

The pain of loosing anyone is a feeling that connects everyone. It’s not wanting to miss that person while you have no choice. I try to Look people in the eyes and tell them the way I feel. They might not be there for a second chance. By heart bleeds for Andre and anyone dealing with death!

anniejane there's similarities in chord progressions to Bennie and the Jets but it sounds more like a track off of Madman Across the Water thematically

Stumbled onto this song through the Loft channel on Sirius. Truly beautiful, you can hear the pain in andres voice near the end, where he can barely finish his sentences. What an artist. Thank you.

Thank you for this. My Dad passed away in 2015 and my Mom died in 2017. They had been married for 38 years when my Dad passed so it was really hard for my Mom. I am an only child so my parents meant the WORLD to me. I feel their presence and am grateful for them every day.

Without Andre 3000 and Big Boi, there would be no Migos, no T.I., and no Killer Mike.

Well, only 2 are decent or better lol. But without even just them 2 SEPARATELY there'd be a totally different sound and set of rappers after.

All we even need is andre the others are irrelevant to the game anyways except T.I. migos are culture vulture in my opinion killer mike is cool but not a legend nobody compares to andre except J.I.D
