I really don’t think this dude could put out anything I didn’t like. I don’t understand, he said he wasn’t putting out anymore music because he didn’t want to be a 40 yr old rapper. But 3000 is way much more than just a rapper to me. I grew up on OutKast. He’s an Icon as far as rapping singing fashion performances etc. Man I want this dude to drop another album so bad. Not only for me but for the culture. But this is a good song. I miss and lost my mom and dad too about a month between each other over 20 years ago. You never forget. You have to learn how to deal. God bless.

Ps. A funny story. Me and my cousin were in highschool around 92-93 when Players ball broke. We took a Black college tour through a program at our school that would take us to Atlanta. So we knew OutKast was from the ATL so we was geeked. The plan was to find a record store down there and get some OutKast music no one had heard especially in Ohio. So we get down there and we’re at the underground which I believe is like downtown. So we’re walking around find a record store. Walk in and asked this White dude that was working there if they had any OutKast. And he didn’t know what we were talking about. 😳 The looks on our faces was pure disappointment as we had to turn around out of that record store. With no new material from our new favorite rappers. 😂.

312vandal he said he didn’t want to be a 40 year old rapper. I stated that he’s way much more. I don’t get your comment or why you stated the obvious. I don’t think your familiar with the interview where he said that and that’s why it’s not going to be another OutKast album. But I hope I’m wrong.

Outkast will drop another album. Right now, they just don't need to. We all know songs have been wrote. Clearly, Andre proves that here. Yes, they are the most iconic hip hop/rap group duo, but one of the greatest groups all together. We'll see another album. Just not this year.

''I'm sure all the cards, dinners, flowers and last minute gifts are appreciated but I've learned the best gift a parent could get is to simply know their child is ok.'' I've rarely listen to this song since but perhaps fate brought me back here to return the favor.. I hope you are well and that you have love and light in your life. If not I hope you find some comfort in this song as I have.. 3 stacks

@@gmhXVII read your comment and completely broke down. I lost my father on December 28th of last year; he was my rock, and my very best friend. Navigating this life without him is beyond hard, but I know I’m blessed to have spent 31 years with him, getting to learn and laugh, travel and relax, many things that most don’t get to do. This song really hits home, as I feel like music is truly the best expression for the realness and pain you experience from the lost feeling obtained when losing our parents. I pray that you find peace and happiness in this crazy world, because deep down, I’m sure you know that’s exactly what your mom would want too.

Ironic because you wrote this comment 4 months ago and my momma just passed away 4 months ago..... Despite being a grown man....I'm so lost without her. I miss her every single day. She will always be in my memories and never forgotten. Literally the most selfless/intelligent person i've ever met in my life. Everything she did was out of the love in her heart to help everyone but her self..... If it was an option on my kids i would chop off an arm just to see her again, feel my mothers touch again, Id give anything just to be able to talk to her again.... NOBODY truly knows you like your momma....😔

I listen to this song on repeat and it still makes me cry. The simple composition of an honest vocal, masterful piano, and then the clarinet going sharp is just a perfect detail. Arguably the greatest song he's ever done. I'm so sorry for the sad inspiration that ironically creates this melancholy beauty.

My wife lost her mom to cancer in January, and she cried all day yesterday. She tried to eat the Mothers day breakfast the kids made for her and be happy for them. I told her it was ok, Its only been four months, but I was hurting too. Her mom held me down even when she didn't, and is a major reason we have been married for 19 years. She had a way of simplifying things for us. Hearing this has me crying today. Im in public looking crazy lol. I miss you Lois Burnett I love you always, your favorite son. Thanks for the track 3stacks need to go ahead and let this out.

The LEGEND lmao you know I never understood how this guy is a legend when most his music garbage , most his verses are weak , nothing about this guy screams legend , he was only hot when in group (OutKast) , if it wasn’t for that we would of never known of him because he was easier and a little more interesting in the group versus to being solo . And mind you I have brought this up in the barbershops and in the streets and everyone agreed he’s boring , lame , and definitely not even in anyone’s top 20 . Maybe it’s just a east coast better yet northeast thing that we cant relate to .

Found this song looking for anything “new” from André, while on my way home from burying my father 18 mos. after we buried mom. Perfect song to connect with those sweet memories of riding around with my mom on back country roads while she smoked joints lol, or riding in the back of dad’s Caprice Classic with the top down on the way to a football game. Great song. I’m grateful for this one.
