@Lee651003 ай бұрын
@@princechi1952Then Scottie Pippen who’s stats weren’t as high as Jordan’s should have gotten the trophy because of his defensive “impact,” perhaps Kyrie should have gotten it over LeBron that year he hit that shot over Steph, because his “impact,” allowed LeBron to win a championship, AND he averaged 25ppg (way more than Iggy). Do you see why this sounds ridiculous? To get an award from your best player, you need to out play him and Iggy did not outplay Steph. Just because you have impact, which you should as a role player, it doesn’t mean you deserve an MVP trophy. And Andre AND Draymond were guarding/helping on LeBron. Steph Curry is the ONLY player in NBA HISTORY to do what he did in that finals and NOT get a trophy. Stop parroting all of these pundits and casual fans about what “impact” is. Did you know that in one of those last games Steph scored 17 points in the 4th quarter which is a league record? If not, then you didn’t watch the full game. And if you did, you conveniently ignored that part. The fact of the matter, is that Steph was the FMVP. Without him, they lose that finals by 30. He was the best in every statistical category on his team, besides guarding LeBron. It’s interesting that there are people who still carry the false narrative of Iggy being more impactful that series. Incredible.

For last second shots, you need someone with handles, jump shot and ability to create separation and hit an off balance shot. Thats where Steph fails slightly. He’s good at creating space in the flow but Kyrie can create space at any point and hit an off balance shot. Curry is more of a balance shooter. Plus Kyrie is more of a threat as a driver.
