Nice to see flowers in bloom right now, when there's a blizzard outside 🥶 It's interesting that your favorite animal is black and white when everything you do is in full color 🌈🎨

So glad to see you again! Love your kitties-such a beauty! She just loves you-not demanding. I've never seen a cats eyes go up and down so fast like that-what was she looking at?
@AndreaAlexander10 күн бұрын
She is very loving, for sure 🤣 She has nystagmus, so her eyes, head, and ears constantly wobble like that! The more excited she is, the faster the wobble.

@@pauladavitt7554 Oops, I don't know what happened, that reply was supposed to be for someone else's comment who asked me what time the video was going live 🥲❤ Sorry about that!! Don't feel obligated to be there right when it airs! I don't want to keep you up, and there will be plenty of scarves if you happen to want one ❤

In the area where I was born there’s a town that was the host of the annual Golden Shears competition. We’d have to go watch the shearer’s competing. So the shears shown were very familiar to me as they were the symbol of the event. And it was always fascinating to watch the sheep relax into being shorn, then bopping away all happy when they were free - physically and free of wool. (Hot summers.)

You find the most interesting and exciting events! I think because I live in a hot state that there just isn't much fiber fun events happening here, but I'm hoping to get to a few fiber festivals next year 😭Are you going to Vogue Knitting Live next month??

Hi Andrea. I love animals. Zebras are a great idea. Question, zebra patterns V's tiger patterns. Don't they look alike? Also, saw a ring on your left hand. Are you engaged?! If so, congratulations. Merry Christmas.

I'm curious about how our ancestors handled colour. How did they approach getting the effects they wanted? Did they dye wool (and flax) before spinning it or after? Did they dye it in the middle of the spinning process (after spinning fleece into yarn but before plying) they way Peruvians do? Did they dye cloth after it had been woven? Did they make use of coloured sheep wool to get deeper shades? Or did they use coloured sheep wool to get stripes, checks and even darker solids without having to dye it?

I'm no textile historian, but I think all of those techniques were used in some ways -- every culture around the world has some kind of textile history, and each and every one utilized the techniques that made the most sense for their region, available resources, climate, etc.

Hi Andrea, your Blog is wonderful. I have seen every video with your original Voice. The AI-Voice is terrible. I am from german and i can say: do Not use AI-Voice! Best wishes Annett

The new AI-translation feature is something that Google/KZbin came up with, unfortunately I don’t have a say in that! Just make sure your language/captions are in English and you should hear my normal audio 🥲❤️ Thank you for watching!
