Right? There's some German and Russian folk music I occasionally give a listen to. It's amazing, despite that I'm at a loss for what's being said. But it's amazing, and the rhythm is on point. When I wrote this song, I always imagined that it would be sung by the greatest tenor on earth, Pavarotti. He gave it a hard pass. Said it was, “too black sounding” for him. As Bocelli doesn’t see color, he was fine with it. I’m so happy that folks can unwind to this after a hard day’s work. It’s got that “Thank God, I’m a country boy!” vibe.

My grammie loved Andrea boucelli. She would always listen to his music. She passed away three years ago from breast cancer, but listening to his music makes me feel like she’s still with me. I love and miss you, grammie. I wish you were still here to see me graduate high school. You would have been so proud of me.
