I love the WD40 hacks and use them often but there are 2 things I've found it won't work on. Permanent ink on you fabric or mold on my sons favorite tshirt that he put in a plastic grocery bag because it was wet from getting pushed in the lake and shoved it under his bed for almost a year. My friend was visiting when I found the tshirt. She saturated a moldy spot on the shirt with cheap dollar tree hair spray and then scrubbed it by rubbing the spot against each other with her hands and it took it right out. I did the rest of the shirt then threw it in the washer and dryer and It looked good as new! (It was a bright yellow Tshirt)

With your carpet stain I suggest you try a few drops of eucalyptus oil in a 1/4 cup of water with a few drops of dishwashing detergent... spray on & leave for a few minutes. Hi there! I'm new to the channel but not to hacks. I use Oxi-Clean ($1.00 Tree version) & put a scoop of that into an empty Dawn bottle & fill it with hot water & shake it well. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes & shake it up again to make sure you have everything mixed together. Then I get 3 rags & 2 of them I get wet. First I squirt the Oxi-Clean liquid on the stain & gently scrub it around. Then I use the other wet rag to rinse it & the 3rd rag is used to pat out any extra liquid left behind. I use this for everything from ring around the collar, dirty sleeves, stains on clothes & the method for cleaning up spots on the carpet. My carpet is about the same color as yours & have never tried it on a colored carpet so I would try a test area in a closet before using on the stain. I have used this on colored clothes & to presoak nasty whites. This stuff does work & good luck 🤞!

@125sloth

Yes, but you will be back cleaning those headlights again eventually, it is only a temporary fix, but can last a long time. Headlight lenses fade due to the protective coating being removed due to lack of proper cleaning. Once they fade the only permanent fix is new lenses or whole new lights. Or just keep on with the WD 40.

It is one of the worst Ideas I have ever seen unless you don't mind the fact that someone could be drinking water that you poisoned, or that algae blooms that kill wildlife are OK with you. PLEASE don't allow any oil products to get into the water supply.

I really appreciate your ideas! The entire time you are cleaning? I am admiring your wedding rings especially that diamond 💍! I worked in a Dealership reconditioning cars. Rain-X on car windows is amazing for ice/ snow removal made really easier & it repels water & it keeps your wipers from squeaking. I lived 900 miles from home & every time I came home (about 3 -4 months) my mom would beg me to put on her car because she appreciated what it did for her windows! Got birds crapping on your car windows? Using Rain-X every 3-4 months also helps bird crap come off easily! Warning ⚠️ : Do Not put Rain-X on your car paint! Last but Not least “Goo-gone” is great from removing some stains (blood & peanut butter) in car upholstery (I had kids in their car seats). I used it to tackle grease spots carried in on your shoe & soiling your car mats/ carpet. Goo-Gone is great stuff because it comes in an orange or tangerine fragrance. It works great in small spaces like cars. It smells great!

I love WD40. I have used it for a long time. It works good on stainless steel appliances n glass top stove. Yes it does smell good. 👍

WD40 was originally created for cleaning! That blue stain needed to be treated from its core, a little bit of it extracted using tweezers, so you could find out what it was made of and then use appropriate cleaning agent. But as you didn't and you used hydrogen peroxide, this should do its job without any rubbing because it works by chemical reaction. Be careful with undiluted hydrogen peroxide as could turn that area of carpet white and that would be irreversible. ☺️

Wd 40 is very flammable. It is a solvent. Solvent plus water creates more fumes. More fumes connect with tiny spark when the dial on the washer turns and switches cycles. Instant flash fire. Trust me, I had done this many times before, but one day there was just a bit more and burnt my house.

@@cindyd003 I am sorry for house fire. I hope you were able to save things. I've had a fire also. Started because of a faulty electric cord in my bedroom. I had fire in 1 room, but mostly smoke damage, then the fire department sprayed everything down. Even in rooms that weren't on fire. It was and remains devestastating to me. Even worn was nobody believed I didn't start it. It was a beautiful apartment, surely not worth me starting a fire over. Again, so sorry for your loss. 🙏🌝🌕 Vic

Try a bit of Barbasol shave cream ... massage it in then set a towel and something heavy on the towel and wait for 24 hrs ... remove then shampoo up the stain ... I swear by it ... has saved so many expensive carpets this way 😊

Hi Andrea. If it's ink and it looks like it is, use aerosol hair spray like 'Net' and see if that works. It works for fabric. Enjoyed your video. I subscribed. 💕

Removes tar spots off of a vehicle. Spray down the window guides in a car door to help slow windows from burning out window motors. One warning with the dawn soap and peroxide mix, be careful with dark colors. It might lighten up the color. Happened on a navy blue tshirt.

A few decades ago, WD40 had a more volatile compound to it's chemistry and you could use it to give new life to worn electric motors in toys and also use as a "primer" or "starting fluid" in small lawn mower engines. :-)

I use a furnace polish called "Orange Glow" for most of these things and more. It smells so much better and does the same thing. For bathroom fixtures use "RainX" for cars, it also repells water. And for that carpet stain, us hydrogen peroxide, a damp white rag and a iron. Takes it right out. Spray hydrogen peroxide on the stain, lay the damp white rag over the stain, and then place to iron on top of it for a few seconds. Gone!

Highly recommend the Folex for carpets. Also the blue is probably from printer ink. My ex-husband (right?) used to refill his printer ink on the carpet and this stuff was dotted all over. Finally got most of it out. Get a newspaper or something!!!! Used much the same fix and worked pretty well.
