I'm a truck driver & and it's an old truckers remedy for cleaning the bugs off our windshields. I use 50/50 peroxide/water spray down my windshield let it set for a couple minutes then use the windshield cleaner with squeegee. All the bugs come right off without scubbing & it also helps prevent streaks on the glass.

Perhaps you should also let viewers know that once the bottle is open, the hydrogen peroxide is only good for 6 months. Marking the expiry date of an open bottle on a self-adhesive label is a good way of knowing when to discard. Thanks for all the good H2O2 tips.

This is so cool! I started using it on my bathtub with cotton of some sort. I actually used it with my used makeup remover pads and even q-tips I let it soak on the mold overnight and it was gone. Recently I spilled hair dye on ceramic porous tiles and I soaked a tissue and left it on it with support and the stain is almost gone. This stuff is amazing. I’m is on on clothing stains and recently on my plants diluted with water of course.

Hey Melissa, I work at a vets office and know aaaaall about getting blood stains out of fabric (after surgeries, i swear). I've learned to soak a large blood stain in COLD water as soon as possible to rinse away as many cells as you can - hot water can "cook" the blood onto the fabric so ONLY USE COLD. Then go in with the peroxide and let it sit as you stated. Rinse with cold water again and repeat until the stain is gone/almost gone, then launder normally. Adding the cold water rinse works almost every time, the main reason I see stains setting is due to the use of hot water on a fresh stain. I hope this helps someone in need :) *edit: also avoid putting peroxide on a large amount of blood on white fabric. It can leave a brown stain. Rinse as much away as possible with cold water then use peroxide.

@Robert A. Lofgren Jr. So sorry to hear about your situation, that's very unfortunate. Since I wasn't there it's hard to say exactly what happened. However, there is always a risk with any procedure under anethesia, even for young animals. While it is rare, statistically anesthetic deaths (a death resulting from the anesthesia specifically) happens in 0.12% of healthy anesthetized animals (as per a veterinary study done in 2012). While this is a small percentage, owners should always be aware of the risk associated with anesthesia, and that the risk increases in older or sick patients. I personally have seen 2 anesthetic deaths in my career thus far and they were both young and seemingly healthy upon examination the day of the procedure (spay/neuter). We can never presume how an animal or human will react to anesthesia. Even when an animal goes into cardiac arrest, the survival rate is only 5% ): I hope this helps clarify, and I hope the autopsy brings you some closure during this time. I wish you all the best.
@SaraSunshine1
@SaraSunshine1 2 жыл бұрын
@Robert A. Lofgren Jr. as a last comment I will say that even with the risk, I still recommend getting animals spayed/ neutered, preferably around 5-6 months. The main reason for this is to reduce overpopulation, reduce the anesthetic risk, reduce behavioral issues associated with intact animals (eg spraying in male cats), and lastly to greatly reduce the risk of prostate/mammary gland cancer (done before 5 months reduces the risk by 99%,
@SaraSunshine1
@SaraSunshine1 2 жыл бұрын
@Robert A. Lofgren Jr. that's true, German shepherds are a very diseased breed in that regard (hip/elbow dysplasia, cancer, spinal issues), that definitely is a thing. From what I understand large breeds in general can wait a bit longer, I know this more for bone development to prevent knee problems. Hip dysplasia is hereditary and animals with the disease shouldn't be bred as they can pass it on.

45 years ago, I had a friend whose dentist, who was 80 years old, to soak her toothbrush in hydrogen peroxide. Then, I became a nurse and learned that hydrogen peroxide is used to clean and disinfect wounds if various sorts but only in a 50% with water, or normal saline). Then rinsing is very important. With those two bits of information, I started storing my toothbrush in a 50% dilution of water and hydrogen peroxide. I also started pouring peroxide over dental floss before I used it. It keeps my toothbrush disinfected, helps whiten my teeth, and keeps gums healthy. For years and years, when I've had my teeth cleaned, I've always been told how well I keep my teeth clean. Now I use undiluted peroxide to soak my toothbrush in.

I had a pop up tent trailer that periodically got mold spots on the tip outs. This is nearly impossible to avoid because you are bound to leave any campsite with some organic material on the canvas. Because your trailer is closed for travel and storage that organic material will begin to breakdown and cause mold. Canvas is very difficult to clean because it can be damaged by almost any cleaner except soap and water. That’s where the hydrogen peroxide comes in. Simply open up your trailer on a warm day or even at the campsite before you set up the beds etc. Mist straight hydrogen peroxide onto the canvas wherever you see dark mold. Don’t rub the canvas because you want to keep that material strong. Let the hydrogen peroxide dry and reapply as necessary until all those little mold spots are gone. This will not damage the fabric and will remove all the mold before you have a really big problem. I did this for over a decade on my tent trailer and never had a hole or weak fabric as a result. Just really white clean canvas. I hope this helps someone. I searched for years to find a safe product that works without damaging that canvas. Great video. Oh. I also use it straight on white baseball hats that get sweat stained. Does a great job.

Brilliant suggestions. I have experienced success with unlocking set in stains by making a paste with Hydrogen Peroxide and Baking Soda. I put the paste on the stained fabric and pour a little bit more Hydrogen Peroxide on it to let the blend soak in. I gently rub the paste into the fabric and let it sit for 30 minutes or even much longer rolled up. Then I wash in the laundry with detergent. Be careful that the fabric color won't fade from this treatment in advance. Otherwise, there will be faded areas where the paste is applied. Works great on linen tablecloths or napkins with very old wine or food stains on them. The results have been surprisingly great on stains that were more than decades old in some old tablecloths.

I use it as a disinfectant... just spray on after cleaning the toilets, counter tops & use in the garbage cans as well. Oh and add it to my laundry machine as well. I always need to stock up on it😉 Btw... during quarantine... everything brought into the house got sprayed with hydrogen peroxide, left for a few mins... wiped off then put away. My reusable grocery bags gets sprayed after each use & left to dry before using, and I do wash produce the way you do... so its been an invaluable tool to stop anything in its track... and not bringing stuff home.

I love your videos and am so grateful for them. That said I cringed over your care of your cutting board. A clean dry wooden cutting board should be thoroughly oiled from the very beginning with an oil that doesn't spoil. (Boos sells great oils). The oil absorbs into the board and doesn't permit water to soak in. Every so often, depending how often you use your board, it's thoroughly washed using lemon juice or vinegar and salt, rinsed, allowed to thoroughly dry, and oiled again.

The hydrogen peroxide and baking soda paste was the only way I was able to get stains out of my parent's white Corian sink. I also use it to get stains out of my stainless steel cookware that otherwise wouldn't come out in the dishwasher. Just make a paste and let it sit over night.

@justjess986
@justjess986 2 жыл бұрын
@@sandybrown3879 it works pretty well for all natural healthier alternative, you'll have to be patient and it will require a bit more effort on your part! But if you are not opposed to using something a bit stronger and if the above method isn't working as well as you'd like...my all time favorite method is toilet bowl cleaner with preferably with bleach the one with the little nozzle that fits perfectly under toilet ring thing, you know the one Im talking about right! Its a gel like... Anyways I put that on my grout leave it for about 15mins or so don't ket it dry out if possible but if it does its ok just use some hot water to moisten it back up, obviously make sure to securd pets children etc and open up your house for ventilation.. very important! Use cleaning gloves too. After it soaks you want to use a grout brush (preferably) or any small cleaning brush even an old tooth brush will work but more work. Wear white Just in case my dumb self ruined my leggings first time I used this method! I knew better just wasn't thinking! Lol Then have a bucket of warm water near you with a cleaning rag and after you scrub it wipe it off really well after you're done I'd rinse your entire floor with just a mop plain water you might want to rinse it twice. Meaning after you rinse the entire area once, throw that water out and start with fresh bucket clean water and go over it one more time especially if you have pets or small children P.s it is extremely important to have windows doors open you must have a lot of ventilation again first time I did it my dog even though was in separate room had trouble breathing I had to take her outside for a very long walk turned on all the fans etc now im also in a very small 1 bedroom condo but still! Scary! chemical

I keep my vent fan on for 20 to 30 minutes after leaving the shower. My fan is on a timer. It is also a great way to stop windows from steaming up that keeps mould off the window sills. Turn your bathroom fans on with the door open for an hr a day helps keep the humidity in your house down and helps with heating your home it's easier to heat dry air. Life experiences.
