I filmed this earlier in the week so I’ve had the chance to wear these a few more times! A few updates… The ColourPop lip oils are quickly becoming one of my favorite formulas. They are super nourishing, pretty long-lasting, really smoothing- just all around a great formula. Packaging is still a con though. The primers feel and wear similarly throughout the day. I think the sticky one is a little bit better because my makeup will last slightly longer so that’s the one I prefer between the two but they really aren’t different enough to warrant having both! The Catrice powder is nice and lightweight, but also keeps my skin matte throughout the day. It gives a similar effect to the essence all about matte powder, but it’s not as powdery feeling. The mascara wore well throughout the day. I definitely prefer it on days where I go lighter with my eye makeup because it can tend to blend in with my eyeshadow, but it’s really pretty! I love the color and I definitely plan on buying it in black.

I actually miss the ColourPop content of past years. As everything keeps getting more expensive, they keep releasing good products at good prices. People ignore them because they released so much, but the lack of coverage shows why that was important. This eye look is fantastic!

If you have dry undereyes or powder dries them or ages them I learned a trick from Mary at GlitzyFritzy. After blending your concealer wet a sponge with setting spray and tap it under your eyes to set and avoid creasing. I no longer use powder under my eyes

The elf sun gloss is so nice! I try to spend all summer outside and I have my face spf but lip products with spf can be hit or miss. That eye look is stunning may add that palette to a must try list!

re: colour mixing, i know what you mean about getting into all warm or all cool tones, but some of my favourite summer looks are a bit of a mix. for example, a gold or copper eye look with a bright bubblegum lip or a fruit punch lip colour is gorgeous! same with a smoky cool eye and a warm brown or tangerine lip.

Of course you pair things how ever you like, but try it sometime. Often you end up feeling that “ something is wrong “ with the look, almost like it’s off balance. I have the Essence apricot baked highlighter and mine arrived intact. My reasoning for buying it was similar to yours; Pure Nude with a peachy pink color would be just heavenly! I think yours looks like it’s a lot softer than mine is, like it picks up a lot easier to apply after repressing. The color looks similar, not darker, but looks like you are just picking up more of it. I do find it pretty, but I find the formula is more of a “standard” baked formula than the silky smoothness of Pure Nude. I also have the apricot blush and it baaaaarely shows up on me!

I was hoping you’d try a new foundation that’s in stores. I have been using powder foundation for so many years, but I’m 54 now, and I’m thinking it probably isn’t the most flattering at this stage of life. I live where it’s very humid and hot (the Houston area), so it’s good in that regard, but I do think it looks too matte. It was 98° today here, and our “feels like” temps tend to add 10+ degrees. I agree with you that 80° sounds perfect! Thanks for sharing! ❤

I live in Ohio. When it gets really hot, I use a bit of baby powder over my makeup. I use liquid/ cream foundation and concealer. Then the BP. I did use powder face products,I wasn't sure if cream would work.

I would have skipped that Essence apricot highlighter because it looks so pinky/peach in the pan, but now I'll definitely pick it up--looks gorgeous on! Also, update: I've been absolutely loving the elf powergrip dewy setting spray. Granted my skin is dry, but I'm in Georgia where it's humid and in the 90s, and I swear it keeps my makeup in place amazingly well. I'm going through it quick, though, and will probably have to repurchase bottles more often than I'd like!

I got the new essence blush crush blushes which are amazing. And yep both came crushed. They packed them w a heavy bottle of conditioner. I re pressed them. FYI u can press them w NO alcohol or water. I guess all powder products have a bonding ingredient in them. I tried it and it worked. I did re order the blushes so we will c if they come crushed.
