Turn 2 wins are basically the lamest thing in magic to me. I applaud just how unbelievably positive you always are while playing magic. You and Tommy are the ideal magic player to me. Wildly talented and almost impossibly level headed. Inspires me to keep trying to be a better person. (Not to put too much weight on it)

I did my best making this deck on MTG Arena. I was actually surprised Raid Bombardment was on there; Base Set, apparently. Anyway, I only have the one Phlage, so I have like Adeline, Harnessed* Lightning, Dusk Rose Reliquary, and Aether Chaser in my list. It sounds a bit scatterbrained but it’s a nice balance of life gain and random damage, plus Energy production seems pretty consistent. I like your list more, but I thought I’d share mine!

Energy, at least, is a fair deck - which makes it interesting to watch. Unlike the combo decks which seek the fastest path to a one-sided victory every game. (Snoozefest)

I play Mardu energy pretty exclusively, against storm you literally pivot into control, bowmasters are great for the reason, trim all 3 drops and jam every relevant removal spell.

​@@norDevCommand good thing I played vs Energy before they adopted The One Ring then (when Nadu was still legal) so I and anyone who played vs Ring-less Energy back then will know. Energy is pretty bad when it can't grind past a wrath or overload opponents with lots of card draw ie The One Ring which was only adopted widely in Energy after Nadu ban; Fable which Energy used to run before Ring is susceptible to wraths and is just straight up less powerful.

It’s good, but probably not too good. The issue people have with the deck I think is the fact that it is just MH3 tribal.

@ genuine question, what is wrong with the play patterns when the deck doesn’t have The One Ring? The deck seems completely fine, can win with aggression for sure but can easily be outgunned in mid to late by the rest of the metagame. The One Ring of course flips this script by also making it one of the best decks in the meta at grinding, as no other list is positioned quite as well to cast it. Without the One Ring, energy might still be the top deck but honestly I doubt it.

i think energy would be a fairly strong deck, just not The Only Deck. further, i get what the other commenter is saying about 'pushed synergies' but thats more an issue with larger design than the list we have here; for better or worse, energy is here. without the ring, it seems Good but not Impossible To Beat from every angle anymore
