It's just another quiet week of getting school work done while we wait as patiently as possible for Baby Hannah to arrive. This week we go visit Grandma Fern, take our regular trip to the library and get to see Thomas sticking the freezers during our weekly trip to the grocery store. It's also the week for our big semi-annual clothes shopping (shown in a separate video) so we go through clothes and take inventory before going shopping. The kids are so excited to have all of their new things. I also get the little kids each their own box of wipes. They've been going crazy using wipes and went the ab 800 count box this month. (I had to hide my last container to make sure I had some for diaper changing.) We're trying to break them of the habit of freely using Mom's stash of wipes by giving them their own (limited) amount to use during the month. It seems to be working. They're very proud to have their own personal box and they've already cut back immensely. (I told them if they use more than 3 per day they'll run out before the end of the month.) Asher and Judah cleaned up our turtle habitat this week as they're hoping to get some new turtles this summer. On Wednesday, the whole family spent time giving the house a good once-over since we KNOW Baby Hannah has to arrive soon!
We homeschool using ACE Curriculum. Our children are 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 5, 4 and 2. Miss Hannas was due two weeks before uploading this video.

Hi Andrea and family, I was 40 years old when I had baby # 10. I had developed gestational diabetes and they had me in insulin whether I needed it or not by schedule. However, due to a across the state move during my last month of pregnancy they lost track of me and even tho I called and told them my doctor talked to their doctors to make sure this didn’t happen. Long story short I went almost to 43 weeks!!!!! They panicked when the head doctor found out I was correct on how far along I was. Anyway baby was fantastic and the placenta was so healthy my doctor commented I could have gone another two weeks easy. The placenta is their worry when you are older and gestational. I had baby # 11 at 43. I wasn’t on insulin with her and she was fine as well. Although she only went to 40 1/2 weeks. Good luck and we are praying for you all.😊

So many things in this video! It's funny that Claudia was trying to put the ice cream sandwich in her pocket when going outside with Sophia! Love the nod Asher gives you/us when he sees you recording. And in the beginning I loved the affection from Claudia to her brother. (Not that it's really new but that kiss was so sweet) and its so funny to me when I see the same clothes and shoes on your kids and toys in your house as my grandkids have.

2 years ago shortly after adopting our 3rd and 4th, we were rushing out to our oldest son's soccer game and as I was about to lock the door I heard a small voice from the other end of the house saying he needed someone to put on his shoes for him. We instituted head counts after that. It happens.

Hi. I'm glad for another video. My daughter has had her little guy in the 22nd. She was due may 12th. He is fine 6lbs and 9oz. Tribe of 10 just had her baby girl in the 27th. I thought for sure you would have been before either of them. My daughter ate a whole fresh pineapple and drank raspberry tea to help start her labor. Our little guy had the cord around his neck so it good he came early.

Just asking cause I see them with shoes on an at times on the furniture an on ur bed- thinking about the dirt transferring. What’s the weather like their?? I was just talking with someone about this this week. It seems like in the US it's pretty common to put on shoes even just to walk around inside your house. Where I live we would no more do that than we would wear shoes in bed under the covers, so it always looks super weird to see. But every place in the world does things that look strange and uncomfortable to others :)

I am not going to bore you or anyone else with my babies births. To tell the truth I didnt count weeks, I just had checkups and knew God was in control. Watching you homeschool is how I live my life now. Nor am I going to pretend I know what is best in any circumstance because I hardly have a grip on my life:) Not really, but for those of us who have given birth to a hockey team, whats to say! We should write our own book about pregnancy, birth, nursing, cloth diapers, a best seller for sure. am homeschooling a 14 year old grandson Ive had since he was 6 months. Im dreading another season of empty nest and deafening silence! I am waiting for great grandchild #5 later in summer, and often wonder how in the world I got so old so fast! Ive moved to the city to be with my second son who is having a hard dealing with death of his brother who was like his twin. So, ive come to live they both lived for 12 years and find comfort here. I will miss my big country garden, and have had to cancel my order for turkey poults. I am a believer in the use of herbs, oils and such like you make. Ive begun writing my recipes to givr my daughter who is getting old LOL, she will be 48 this year. She had 7 children and has 2 grands. She homeschooled some of her crew, and they did very well. Its nice to have that extra time with them to teach our own beliefs, morals, and many things they would miss out on in a classroom. Now, thats a statement considering I am a retired teacher:)! I hope your garden produces a good harvest this fall. I will just buy fresh vegetables and meat to can, I like having a food storage of at least 6 months. Love my pressure canner and dehydrator, while I dream of a freeze dryer! Its a fantasy because of cost, but dreaming fun lol! Wishing you all a great summer, and that everyone will be healthy and happy. Going to snooze for awhile, one perk of being old , though I refuse to grow up! Sending smiles and laughter to all of you. Vicky Johnson my son has eczema too and we use real Shea butter (health food stores normally carry it and I won’t be surprised if amazon did too just remember the Shea butter should be 100% and you can use often as you like 😉

Andrea stated a few videos back that she is not reading comments until Hannah has been born because she doesn't want to second guess herself in awaiting this baby's timing. She said she feels she was too easily swayed when Claudia was born and knows anyone with advise means well but she doesn't want to feel any pressure. (I hope I summarized that well.)

Andrea stated a few videos ago that she will not be reading comments for just this reason. She and Tom are sure in their decision to allow for God's timing and she does not wish to be swayed. She's an adult who has birthed 8 children and she is aware of what any medical issues might be and they will make that decision if that were to happen

Didn't Andrea say earlier that she wouldn't unless there was something actually wrong with either the baby or herself? That was my understanding. I know she does some monitoring at home like listening to the baby's heartrate and checking her own blood pressure. If something's actually noticeably wrong she'll do something. But I doubt it if it's just a longer than average pregnancy.

Where I live there are special conditions for new drivers. E.g., no driving at night, 0 blood alcohol, can't go on some of the biggest highways, etc. Maybe it's something like that?
