@@taragreen4423 Isn't Eden only 10-11. I enjoyed cooking when I was around her age, but my older siblings were already out of the house. I was the oldest of 5 still at home and my mom was working evenings so mom bought foods that were easy; canned soup, sandwiches etc. She would usually cook for our dad because he wanted what he called, real food.I'm thinking Grandma Kitty would love to teach Eden, but maybe waiting for someone to ask, rather than step on dad's toes.

Boys eat too! I've always wondered why Tom doesn't teach all of them a few kitchen skills. Thomas works in a grocery store, he should volunteer to cook 2 times a week, then he could teach his siblings.

To answer the question about what are the Thousand Island are - It is a large group of more than a thousand islands on the St Lawrence River that runs between Ontario Canada and New York state. They go for about 50+ kms or over 30 miles. I live in a city in the heart of the thousand islands in a place called Brockville Ontario. This area is a beautiful place to live and many tourists come in the summer time. On July 1 is our Canada Day and fireworks go off over the river, boats from both countries are out watching them. On the 4th, we can see the upstate NY;s display, it's pretty cool. That small part of the river will be filled with boats, it's an awesome sight to see. The dressing is said to be created in Clayton NY which is also in the 1000 islands and that is how it got its name. Fun fact about the islands and river is that 7 days before the river flows through the islands, it went over Niagra Falls and lake Ontario, one of the great lakes. It then flows on the long journey to meet up with the Atlantic Ocean.

Got to spend some time in Clayton at a friend's cottage last summer. We only live three hours away but had never been. It was easy to see why everyone loves it. Gorgeous! And so fun being on the boat right up to the CA border.

Catalina or Ranch is my go-to, try the strawberry or raspberry vinaigrette is good but like the one you have now, you have to really shake it up.

Jiffy corn bread mix in a box is really good and cheap it is a little sweetness to it the kids may like!

You should try cooking chicken breast in the balsamic dressing, it's really good, or marinate it in chicken breast for a few hours, make sure the chicken is thawed, discard the balsamic dressing after marinating it and then grill the chicken on the fire pit, it's delicious.

I have noticed the smaller kids get the same portion as the bigger kids. I have two sons , they would never get full on one burger and some chips. I am sure they can get seconds , I have just never seen it…🙂

Actually one small burger and one small fries makes about 600-700 calories...if u add ekstra dip u probably get about 200 more...the drink is probably 150-200...so that meal is probably about 1000 calories...and I'm measuring from the EU food...food bought in America probably have more calories becouse they add a lot more sugar in food to conserve it and prolong shelf life🤷‍♀️.... the average recomended calories for adults are 2000 for the whole day....The boys are probably fine...the small children probably should eat less...but my guess is they dont finish it...

I make a Caesar salad with that dressing Tom... Super simple, romaine lettuce, some iceberg, shredded parmesan cheese, a lot of black pepper and croutons... I prefer the Caesar, but whatever kind you like!! Caesar dressing all the way♥️

I hate ranch lol thousand island is good on hamburgers😉 that’s what’s on an In and Out burger. Blue Cheese is the best dressing for 🥗 to me.

Gosh it has been awhile since I have watched the Mills family. The children have grin so much. Everyone looks great and I love seeing everyone eating a meal together. Such a loving family. Hi there maybe you could buy Hannah writing stencils, I don't know what they are called but the letters are cut out in a plastic stencil, she could trace the letters or start learning to do that. Just an idea. ❤ It's excellent the kids are trying new things, and that you encourage it, kids go along with what their parents dsay and do usually as you would know, so it's good if you encourage them.

Tom. I really like how you encourage them to try one bite but not push it past that if they don’t like it. A lot of kids who are forced to eat something they truly don’t like grow up to have a bad relationship with food, you’re teaching your kids to have a good relationship with food. I like that.

Hannah dug herself into a hole. I remember doing that as a kid. I hope you will find a way to get her a little ice cream. She is so young ( but smart)it won’t undermine you next time you offer a reward for something, simply because you didn’t end up in a real dramatic stand- off. When it gets that far, you just can’t give in. Kindness always wins! Ps I know just what you mean about the taste of soft cookies you buy. Claudia’s picture. 😂❤️
