It's Me Taylor Lee it’s just that alternative people are being bullied, people easily talk shit behind them but when someone “famous” is wearing some things that alternative people would wear it’s becoming a fashion trend and then everybody loves it. This girl is maybe not looking after a celebrity, maybe she dyed her hair since 2011 like me you know. It’s like this septum piercing trend we have since 2016. I only answered that about my experience and what I went through. I used to braid the front two pieces of my hair constantly when I was a grunge teen in the 90s. 💕 These were pretty accurate grunge/alternative imo. But really I think most of us just wore it down most of the time. Often dyed funky colours.

As someone who was a teen/young adult during the grunge era (late 80s/early 90s), I will say that these grunge-inspired looks seem somewhat more accurate to the way actual grungers and their fans looked than the so called "Grunge Fashion" that appeared on the runways the mid 90s. The messiness, the bleached hair with dark roots and the faint blue color that looks like faded-out Manic Panic--seems about right. If anyone cares to further explore 90s grunge era style look up the great female rockers of the day--Kat Bjelland, Donita Sparks, Courtney Love, Inger Lorre and others. And their music of course, they rocked!

I started high school in the 90's and I can confidently say there is no such thing as grunge hairstyles! This is just a bunch of hairstyles which have been around on and off. Nothing to do with grunge in the slightest. As for the category of 'grunge' - it's called the Settle scene.
