Two of the greatest performing artists of all time. Both of these people had a major effect on our music. Louis Armstrong gave us what is considered "American" music. He changed music forever with his style. Like Jimmy Hendrix after him his style was so different and innovative that everyone after had to imitate him or be left in the dust. That was also true with Ella. Salute Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald, LEGENDS!

And I was blessed to be able to sing the same ones to my son. I believe songs touch an ancient part of our soul and I think it's why we have such strong reactions.

You can almost feel the baking sun on your back and the sweat dripping down your face, as you are picking the cotton in the Summertime heat. While the rich slave owner's kids are happy, playing and laughing in the garden pond. They are the same age as you, but born in different worlds.
