Hi Andree, I’ve been watching you for a couple of years now and i have really learnt a lot from you. I had gotten my first silk press done and dyed my hair for the first time back in December 2022. The lady that did my hair caused me to get chemical damage. 8 months later I decided to do the big chop. Im 8 months post big chop and thanks to the various advice and treatments from your youtube shorts and videos my hair has grown back extremely fast, healthier and stronger than ever. You are an amazing hairstylist so ignore the haters and ignorant people because you are helping so many women out there!!!

First of all, thank you so much for sharing your story. It’s really inspiring. I have very very fine hair and don’t think a transplant will work. I’ve got traction alopecia , it’s embarrassing and I never leave my hair out. When one crochet style out another is going back in. I’d love to have a pixie cut, but my big forehead and with no hair line is a concern.I can’t afford a hair transplant on a nurses salary. However,I’m blessed in the sense that a colleague friend recently started aesthetic nursing and is going to do three sessions of PRP for me. I had my first on recently. I’m hoping that when this works, maybe I can get this pixie cut, so that I can stop causing trauma to my hair follicles.Please can you bring on a trichologist. I love watching all the lovely hair cuts you do on those beautiful clients of yours. Hopefully I can be one of your clients in the future.

Thanks for doing an update! I've just passed my 1 year mark, and am so grateful for channels like yours that shared your journeys- gave me the confidence to do mine! You're right- never again will I be going to multiple people to do my hair/braids. And is also takes a while to get used to this 'new' hairline e.g. when washing my face- still not quite used to having hair that low on my head, lol. I think I'll be too scared to relax again, but who knows... Your hair looks fab!

I had a not so great experience with Longevita. They eventually said they would redo my transplant but I chose not to return there. The grafts are planted along my hairline look unnatural and they missed off the area that I actually needed the grafts. I have visited Andree's salon, they are very professional and knowledgeable. Have also used L8 night beauty for PRP.

Have you considered red light therapy such as the iRestore to go hand and hand with the minoxidil? Also collagen peptide powder? I didn’t have traction alopecia but just thinning. I incorporated all of that, along with a few other things, and my hair is thriving like you would not believe. Your hair looks great!

You gave me so much courage to get my hair done. Thank you for always making educational videos. I think I might need prp but it’s 1k in California per session. It’s too much money so I’m debating if I should save my 6k and wait and see if I will need anything surgery.
@AndreeMarie7 ай бұрын
It definitely seems like it’s very pricey, but I would have a few consultations to see what all the options may be and then have a look around and see if maybe you need to travel out to somewhere that’s a little bit cheaper and that makes sense for you in the UK, also in the City areas are about 1600 per session but in the rural areas are about 200 so just depends

Hi Andrea, I’m super excited and nervous at the same time, I’m going for my transplant in December. May I know if I can have a pixie weave to cover up the shaved areas when I return and I am healing please, you do amazing work and I’d love to try and see if it’s possible to hide my shaved areas. May I come for a consultation when I’m healed with no open wounds please? Thank you .🙏 ❤❤❤

My transplant was a 9 am and I finished 3.30pm I started wearing a wig 4 weeks later as my head was too sensitive so I was walking around bald

@@AndreeMarie I understand but back to chemicals than can cause damage is like a waste of money of a transplant when goal to grow it out in a natural healthy hair state it’s like could’ve just left it at the short from start and got prp shots ,my only thing is having to wear wigs so many months after transplant that’s damaging has cons to it
@HealthyGutWithNikky5 ай бұрын
When it comes to relaxing the hair, do you think that could actually damage the hair? I mean, i get to loss more hair when I comb my hair in its natural state(unrelaxed) than when it’s relaxed cause it’s softer when relaxed. What are your thoughts on this
@AndreeMarie5 ай бұрын
Hello lovely thank you for asking a very valid question, I don’t use any blockers and I use a mild relaxer which is for damaged hair and gentle on my scalp. Hope that helps the question. I never had thinning from relaxer mostly from tight braids.

Dear Andree, do you know the name of the surgeon who did your transplant?
@AndreeMarie7 ай бұрын
Hello lovely thank you for watching. I get this question a lot and I always have to specify that I was done by a team of three underneath Yasmin yukurt. One lady did the extraction and two males did my transplant. Yasmin was the person who consulted with me and helped me draw my homework and that’s all she did.

@marleyhill347 ай бұрын
Lol @ the small space between your eyebrows and hairline. This has been my life forever. Lol! I've been lucky in that I still have all the hairline but it is thinning. the crown is also thinning because hair loss does run in my family and I'm a thalassemia carrier. I just emailed the GP to ask for a dermatology referral to see if it is indeed alopecia. CCCA, FFA or Androgenetic alopecia.
