They did that on purpose. The reason they formed Bloodbath was to make a pure death metal band. As brutal as possible in terms of both audio sound and lyrical content.

I love the melodic undertones the band just randomly throws in. The melodic solos seem to flow well with the music since the tone doesn't come out floaty and happy sounding.

He got it right (Meiwes really did cut the other guy's dick off and cooked it. Legend says he couldn't eat it so he fed it to his dog). Not only that, but he also described it as a song about "food, Satan and national disasters"... It's pretty obvious he was joking (and half of Mikael's stage banter is sarcasm, jokes or stealth insults to the crowd)

As he explains it there is nothing wrong with his voice, he just changed to monitors in his ears rather than ear plugs causing him to strain his voice causing the change in his vocals. He has since changed back, and from what I've seen in more recent videos everything is back to it's normal brutal state. Too bad he recorded two dvds like that though, it doesn't properly represent his talent.

this was around the time when he stated that he had damaged his throat do to wearing those ear monitors, apparently after wearing them to much he couldn't actually hear his screaming and it made him scream in a way he never did, so basically he wasn't using his typical techniques to scream

@@hugolessard4462 The first time they did a live performance was also supposed to be the last (and it was a last time in a way. It was the last time they played with Dan Swano). It was the Wacken 2005 show, and Akerfeldt was again in lead vocals. So, unfortunately, Tagtgren left before they started doing live shows.

We all have seen that interview, and it is obvious that it was not a technical problem, because two years later he started to lose his growls, he is still growling that bad, so its definitely not a technical problem, I think its the cigarette abuse or something.
