1. I hope they do go the remake route, rather than just give us an HD remaster of the 3DS version or something lazy… and if they do, they actually change up some of the dungeon puzzles, and possibly even some story elements, to flesh out some of the stuff left underdeveloped (like maybe when you return to Castle Town after seeing Zelda and Impa fleeing Ganondorf, all the shops are closed and people are scared 🤷🏻♂️). 2. I’m worried about the art style… I don’t want it to look like _BOTW_ or _TOTK,_ or even those anime style animatics going around on KZbin… I’d hope for something more like _Twilight Princess,_ but with more polygons and brighter textures. 3. all that said… I’d honestly be happy with HD releases of the N64 versions of _Ocarina_ and _Majora,_ with some UI upgrades, and maybe they fix the point bottle models from _OOT…_ and put them out in a physical edition 🤷🏻♂️👍

Ocarina and MM HAVE been remade. It was simply on hardware that didn't have as much more power than we've expected. However all of the models, textures, the lighting etc have been reworked. They've been rebuilt from the ground up. Much like crash trilogy. It simply wasn't as big of a jump as we wished for and kinda looked like an early GC game Oot already was relatively open. There's really no need to make it open world. I could imagine a few tweets here and there like maybe remove the rocks from the beginning of Zora river so that I also could do child dungeons out of order, but aside from that I'd say oot is open enough as it is.

@@Gridpipe that's what I'm thinking too. The hardest thing to develop for games is the engine and overworld. They pretty much already had that set from the start of development. See your point and that is probably a rare gray area case that it’s a remake and remaster at same time. @Chashu29310 күн бұрын
They are remakes. They even added new content with master quest. It might not be a full-blown remake like ff7 but it's definitely not a remaster. Those are usually pretty simple solutions, either upscaling fixing framerate or slightly editing textures. Oot 3DS was redone from the ground up.

If they do an OoT remake, they definitely need to make more of the past/future mechanic. Outside of the Desert Collosus temple and those bean-seller sprouts, it was completely unused Take a leaf out of Chrono Trigger's book. Have people in the past you can be nice or nasty too, and it effects their character/arc/story/quests in the future. Maybe more side-quests where you can rescue people in the past and lead them to safety in Kakariko Village, then leading to extra buildings being built to house them in the future and extra rewards/story/side quests as a result...like Tarrey Town, sort of The holes in the floor could be expanded into more fully featured caves/sub-dungeons too, rather than just having cows in them for no reason 😂

I would love to see Zelda 1~3 remade on Switch 2, more than OoT, but for pushing units? OoT is a must, and why they've likely been sitting on a remake and continuously putting out remasters. Since a remake would stand out visually and auditorily, and of course with new content and full rebalancing, maybe some functions like a built in master quest play mode as a selling point, with even further revamped versions, or maybe some system that allows changing up the master quest dungeon layouts through something like procedural generation or a series of premade builds that are hot swappable. Something as a really unique replay sales pitch to really entice new sales that might even draw in the BotW crowd.

I'll play it if it's just a graphical upgrade but I won't want to pay $60 for a game I've already played so many times. There's so much they can do to make the Ocarina of Time experience FRESH. I'm not sure about a light temple, but perhaps a "Unicorn Fountain" dungeon, though I'm unsure how to work the triforce in that way as the triforce of courage went straight to Link... I love the idea of ADDing to dungeons, but much of the core needs to be preserved. Spider Pit in the deku tree. Elevator and Courtyards of the Forest Temple. Farry of the Damned in the Shadow temple (of course it can be made more cinematic instead of a straight line, a downhill part that rushes around curves and the ship tilts, and more enemy varieties than the two Stalfos? That's all just wishful thinking though). A very important update would be to open up hyrule feild, fill it with interesting land marks, more enemies, perhaps more regions of hyrule to explore?? A snowy area (idk, there is adult zora fountain which really should thaw after the water temple) Maybe a few more songs, new items, optional dungeons and quests. Of course, Link can't be too OP for the final battle, but even those battles could be enanced with more attacks and another phase or two

If Nintendo does remake Ocarina, I wonder if they'll take some notes out of Final Fantasy VII: Remake's book and change a few story beats. Ocarina already involves time travel and alternate timelines, so there could be some interesting story potential there. Perhaps we could get a backstory for Dark Link, for example, and some more screentime for Sheik and Impa. A common criticism of BotW and TotK was they lacked a strong narrative, so Nintendo could address that by really expanding on Ocarina's story, which undoubtedly had elements cut to the limitations of the N64.

I’m sure the reason totk felt like dlc to some is because it wasn’t as grand as it could have been, due in part to preparing for the next title. I’m still putting money on this. I agree with your point. As of right now, it IS a bit hard for me to think of a reason to immediately jump into the next Nintendo console, but would be quite interested if something like this turned up. If they did remake Ocarina, however, the main thing I would be dying to see improvements to is the combat. Honestly, Master Quest never caught my interest because even though it did add some enemies, it didn't really do much that would make the combat more engaging. They'd need a remake for that to be on the table, and if they did, I hope they wouldn't slack on that. I'm unsure if they would actually do such a thing, since it's always such a back-burner element for them. I would personally say that, because it's such an old game that players know inside and out, an expansion of this nature is warranted. I would sincerely hope this doesn't end up being a 'let's remake OoT in the Breath of the Wild Engine', specifically if it resulted in combat design being carried over. I'd honestly prefer a copy-paste of the old combat over that. :/

A good example of what an OoT remake could look like is the deadspace remake kept the core concepts of the original but dialed everything up 3 notches

I would want the game to be a remake of Ocarina of Time in the same sense that FF7Remake/Rebirth is a "remake" of Final Fantasy 7. Fully voiced, cinematic to the extreme, and oh, btw, little clues here and there that Child/Adult Link is getting the strangest sense of deja vu... Ocarina of Time already had time travel in it, after all.
I’d be quite ok with that, providing I’m still alive. lol.

I would love sometime to see the original game and link to the past remade in an echoes style.

the only remake needed is a full 3D, HD, openworld Ocarina of Time remake with Twilight Princess style realistic aesthetic. This is all.

Honestly, I'd love to even just have a remaster of Ocarina of Time with gyro aiming and camera stick functionality. I'm replaying it right now on my 3DS (given the improvements over the N64 version) but would love to have it on a bigger display or my TV.

I will literally cry of excitement if we get OOT, MM, WW or TP remakes.

It's my opinion that if a remake has ANY code from the original game, it's a remaster. Diablo 2 Resurrected is a great example of a game that was presented as a remake but was really just an ambitious new coat of paint on the old game. An OOC remake would be an immense project. I think it's more likely to be the original OOC with all new assets and modern control scheme. In my book, that's a remaster.

It would be a huge missed opportunity to remake OoT on switch 2. This is THE console to do it on

@AndresRestart i’m so glad every time you make another video about my favorite subject of all Time : I’m living for these Zelda remasters/remakes. I love your optimism and I can only share your point of view. What will the new next Zelda game look like though ? I’d love a really dark atmosphere similar to Twilight Princess… Something totally new also like swapping roles of the triforce wielders… playing a descendant of ganondorf as a victim for exemple… That would be incredible don’t you think ? Yeah I know it’s probably never going to be a thing… but I can’t help thinking about it

I wouldn't mind Zelda 2: Link's Adventure with updated 2D sprites and 3D backgrounds. $39.99.

I agree with everything except for one. Ocarina’s world lends itself very well to being an open world experience, and it would be a missed opportunity to not take advantage of that.

Honestly, give us A Link to the Past Remake. Most underrated Zelda game

If they remake OoT, they're bound to follow up with Majora's Mask. I hope so, Majora's Mask deserves so much better and it's my favorite Zelda of all time, though OoT is great too! Personally, the only content I want to see added to MM is master quest!

Why do y'all always add an ellipsis at the end of video titles? It makes it sound like you're depressed or disappointed.

I really hope we get a Link Between Worlds remake or remaster. I loved A Link To The Past and would be happy if we got a remake or remaster of that but the sequel wasn’t nearly as accessible to most people and is almost as good of a game.

I am honestly okay with not getting Ocarina Of Time as a remake. I really want to experience Twilight Princess though and if they remade it from the ground up, gave it a super nice polish, Upscale to 4k? Yeaa, take my money

12:43 God I hope they don't do that. It would completely ruin OOT. "Modern Zelda" has no place in the GOATs

Yeah OOT fans don't even like modern Zelda. Makes no sense to do that

I don't know, I still don't really see the point of remaking it especially if it's meant to be a showcase for the console, that would imply work from the Zelda team itself and would only delay an original episode. It could be just me not being very enthusiastic about the prospect though. My idea would be for Nintendo the to reveal the next Zelda game in jan/feb and have a big massive trailer in june for the anniversary. As for released maybe a bunch of remasters, maybe a collection of the Super Mario 3D all-stars type. Maybe even a remake but I'm rather seeing A Link to the Past getting the treatment, something Grezzo could work on its own with a solid blueprint. Though really, it could even be a brand new 2D game given what they have done with EoW. But I'm not seeing the Zelda team doing anything that wouldn't be a brand new 3D game. The console needs that too much. Also all those things, they would be Switch 1 releases with enhancements on the Switch 2, no need to cut off a big part of the potential public that soon. I could even see them releasing some sort of enhanced Switch Lite, something that would be more of a handheld than the enormous Switch 2.
