Andre, 95% Spirytus is used mostly if you wish to make your own flavoured vodka, for example fresh cherries, 95% Spirytus and some sugar, then you wait a couple of weeks. Pigwa is not peach or pear, but quince. So you bought pork lard with meat "perfect with bread". It would be much better with some raw onion and salt, or pickles.

Andre, smarowidlo z miesem, the other thing lying next to the smalec (which is just fat, used mostly for frying or with greaves and onion) was something that is just like metka cebulowa you should totally try it next time - I am sure you will like it. BTW - smarowidlo is just spread, translated

Andre try smalec with pickled cucumber. Also I recommend doing smalec yourself. Its easy to do just buy słonina (I dont know it has english name but its piece of bacon/lard) dice it and slowly render it down on fire. As you mentioned on video homemade smalec is 100% better. Its same thing with metka, the one you usualy buy isn't very good. There are better ones.

Buy smalec again, but don't put that much on bread, it's simply fat spread. Also i rekomen to have some pickled cucumber with that. You get them in polski sklep as well. Taste different. I like to put some oniones on top too. Good luck! :)

Smalec potrafi być bardzo dobry. Ale nie taki gotowiec ze sklepu. W Zakopanem kiedyś kupiłem (i zjedliśmy) tak dobry, że rozważałem nawet, po pewnym czasie, przejazd z północnej Polski do Zakopanego w celu zakupu (w większej ilości) tylko tego smalcu :)

You really messed up this one :) The Polish term /smarowidło/ comes from the word /smarować/, which means to spread something on bread (or bread-like products like rolls). Spread it and not put the whole fucking thing on like you did :D Lard has a very dense flavour, so you were basically eating lard with a bit of bread. And on top of that, it was probably still cold because it was kept in the fridge (as it should be) and you're supposed to eat it at room temperature so you don't miss out on all the intricate flavours :) It's the same with the serving temperature of beer. Lagers should be served colder than porters.
