Of course, tragic loss of young man to his family and friends. I both appreciate and see limitations of Breitbart (like all of us). For the record -- his representation of leftist "delusion" (lit.: "false fixed belief") around the Tea Party demonstrations (I gathered he was referring to 2010, re: the ObamaCare debacle) is completely accurate. I was there, and had the opportunity to witness from both back of large crowd and (at late-Sunday Pelosi victory lap) front of dwindling crowd (regular folks with jobs to bus & road-trip back to) the civility of the Tea Party gathering -- no audible catcalls of any sort, much less the vile kinds reported immediately afterward. (In the volumes they were reported, I would think they would have been hard to miss!) In fact, the demeanor of the gathering may, in part, validate the frustration of David Horowitz and others who have mentioned that conservatives aren't great at fighting...😉 Capitol Security/Police (?) might, nonetheless, disagree -- during my brief (and bizarrely unnecessary) detention in their office, I had to stifle a giggle when a young officer (proper term?) popped into the room to announce that they were "losing the street" -- a queue of protesters were making their way across the street to the Congressional office buildings for meetings. 🤗 [Maybe he should be in charge of preserving campus "safe spaces"...?]

I just finished reading his book, “Righteous Indignation”. It was so educational and entertaining all at once. He was a true visionary and spoke truth to power. He started something I wish he could have finished. His work is so inspiring.

Breitbart was a genius, and much more "in your face" than his successor Ben Shapiro. I didn;t find out about Andrew until after he passed, but I like the views he favored. I want to read Shapiro's book on bullying, too.

Goddamn it he should have been here now. He predicted everything, and he truly exposed the SJWs before they were even SJWs. He called it. All of it. I wish he had been here to see just how right he was. Furthermore, I think he would have prevented Breitbart, what could have been and was starting to be a bastion of conservatism and libertarianism, from becoming the shit show that it currently is. I think he probably would have supported Trump, not as fervently as some of the crazier Trump-types, but I think he would, like many of us, see how important it was for Trump to utterly delegitmize the mainstream media by essentially being their punching bag. Honestly if Breitbart was still around, Trump would have brought him into the fold instead of Bannon, and man oh man that would have been perfect. Trump is very easily influenced, and unfortunately many of the people influencing him have been idiots or bad actors (not all, but some, like Bannon for instance). If Breitbart had been the one influencing Trump (which he totally would have been, everything Trump stands for and the good things Trump is all about are the things Andrew started and was best at), Trump could have been the turning point in our culture. As it stands now, with Trump too often saying idiotic things and being surrounded by yes-men, and not knowing how to counter-punch as well as Andrew did, I think it could go either way. Trump could become a stain that hurts us, or he could be a turning point for the betterment of all Americans. If Andrew was there though, he would have been able to teach Trump how to better nullify the mainstream media attacks, and I think he would have given Trump valuable advice on how to reach out to America's minority communities and how to show those minorities just how much disdain and condescension the Democrats and the mainstream left has for them. Breitbart started a very important and very necessary bundle of ideas and tactics, but I truly wish he had been around to see it through.

Completely agree with you. As it stands now, I think DeSantis closer understands this. His is specific in his strikes against the media, now spraying a bunch of irrelevant details. I think he knows and in ways resembles Andrew’s tactics.
