The pain of watching the slow death of his beloved father, Kit Denton, prompted renowned broadcaster Andrew Denton to establish an advocacy group for voluntary assisted dying called Go Gentle Australia. In 2015, he produced a podcast which examined why more than 70 per cent of Australians supported making voluntary assisted dying legal.
Now, in the wake of Victoria passing legislation, and other states in the process of doing so, he has gone back into the field to record interviews with those who are using or finding themselves part of the system.
