This video features New Orleans luthier, Sal Giardina, the inspiration for the tune and the character discussed in verse two. I used to ride past Sal's shop as a child and wonder what was inside. All that was visible from the street was the hand painted name of the owner, "Sal" something, and some dusty violins in the window. Turns out I grew up to need the services of the luthier inside, and so I met Sal Giardina, a master of his craft surrounded by sawdust and stories. I'm thankful that we was willing to let us feature him in this video.
