I was born and raised in Miami and the FCAT (Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test) was terrifying. You start prepping in elementary and start testing in middle school all the way to 12th grade. You don’t pass, you can’t graduate high school. Not sure if they’re still doing that but it’s an awful way to access students. Some kids just aren’t good test takers but can still hold a 3.8 GPA. All standardized testing needs to go.

Florida needs to re-invent itself via empowerment Zones, jobs, redevelopment of Black and marginalised communities (Liberty City), Criminal Justice reforms (holding law enforcement accountable, community based policing...), education reform.....I’m afraid if he does win, it will be business as usual. Florida tourism industry drives the State at the expense of neglecting the poor.

The thing is he is not a black candidate he is a great candidate!! He is also a real person and successful as a Mayor, crime down, business up. That agfects everyone no matter what color, class, etc. Everyone would do well under his administration....it is about how you are affected not policy. If crime is attacked by respecting people, who in turn work with police, that stops crime. Then the 2nd ammendment becomes not an issue.
