Steve Osborne, I agree 100%. he didnt care about leaving the EU either, that was just his opportunity to further his own ambitions. As far as Im concerned he should be dragged out of Downing Street immediately. He was happy to play fast and loose with rules and laws so the same could reasinably be applied to him. And then he should be expelled from the Conservative party as he did with the decent ones who opposed his own ego driven agenda.

It comes to something when even in the speech itself outside number 10, the moments where he hints that he is going are seen to be the most truthful part of the whole speech. He doesn't actually use the word 'resign' or its equivalent but you can just about detect a glimmer of him telling the truth for once - "I am going". There we have the real person. No smoke or mirrors or a disguise to pedal something in front of the British public and catch us while we're not looking. It is weirdly, absurdly refreshing to hear him almost uttering something which is not a lie. It is disturbing. If he had actually said "Now I'm going to resign" that would have been the most shocking part of the whole BS, because he wouldn't be lying...
