Finally a great color blindness/enchroma video that describes in better detail what someone like me (my color blindness is almost identical to his it sounds like) can expect when i receive my enchroma glasses. Thanks for the way you did this.

He articulates his experience very well for normal sighted people. Just loved it when his wife and kids let him take time to process what's happening and started to get emotional. That overwhelmed feeling he demonstrated was very moving. I hope he'll wear those glasses to experience sunset, sunrise, color of sea(lake) and traffic lights.

Great video! I love the idea of sitting him down for an interview after what he experienced. I hope he got to go to that art museum. I've been thinking that would be a great place for introducing true color to someone who needs these glasses.

It would have been nice to see a second video a couple of days later, after his eyes had fully adjusted to the new glasses. I think he would have been even more impressed. Thanks for sharing.

My response when watching you all is ... tears in my eyes .. I am now in the early 50s, I found my son was color blind when he was 7 years old ... now he is 26 years old... Likewise, I still can't afford to buy him a pair of color blind glasses until now, when I had an accident in 2011 and finally lost my job in 2013 ... I am happy for all of you .... may God bless you all ..... take care of your health ...

That is great Amy! I am not color-blind, but I cannot drive at night. My condition is where my eyes dilate to the point where my eye color (green-gray) is gone in the dark. I can see in the dark without problems. My ophthalmologist dilated my eyes to see if there was any problems, it took 10 hours for my eyes to go back to normal. I wish your you and your husband the best!

Beautiful video! Sharing your explanation of what your experience was like at the end of the video was educational for the population who are not color blind and yes, we do take it for granted. Now you can experience color with taste. Eat a purple skittle it taste grape and an orange taste like orange!

Wow, my dad was colourblind, my brother is not. He is an artist but not a signwriter, because he is word blind, others in the family are dyslexic. Eyes are so important. You will have so much fun re-discovering things. It would have been nice for my dad to be around to use those glasses, my colourblind nephews can though. The universe is so much more impressive and beautiful in vivid colour.

That was a great video ! I love how he gives his feedback on so many points once he has cooled down. So interesting ! I would be curious to know about one thing that I have never heard in the videos because they all show the first day of discovery, though : to which extend does the difference of color affects your feelings about food ? It must be weird to see food with a different color ! Was it still appealing to you ?? 😁💜
@amysatchwell62854 жыл бұрын
We bought the outdoor glasses, so they aren't the best for indoor light. That being said, food does look different, but he is a foodie, and it didn't change much for him in that area. ;) He works construction, and has a lot of experience with masonry. Of all things, he was super impressed with bricks!

@@amysatchwell6285 I remember another video when the wife was like, "would you like to walk to the rose garden?" and the guy was like "BUT THE BRICKS!"😀 You did a beautiful job asking open ended questions that resulted in very thoughtful answers about his experience. Thank you!

The vegetable section at the store - the yellow, red and green peppers especially. Watch Fantasia. Go to a store like Lowe's and check out the paint section - every color is there. I'm not colorblind but I wish there were even more colors to see. Maybe there will be, in heaven.

Complete colorblindness is very rare. I find that many colorblind people think that the Enchroma video reactions that they see on KZbin are reactions from people with complete, or severe colorblindness only, so they often downplay the severity of their condition and say to themselves "My colorblindness is not that bad, so I'd never cry like that", then they try it and realize that they're seeing colors they have NEVER seen before. Try as you might, noone can imagine a "new" color. So the experience of actually seeing NEW colors is amazing. I love how now, they can interact with a very color-coded world. Congrats!

My son-in-law was teased since first grade and then came the anger. He is red/green color blind. Have a movie camera ready and then have him walk into a grocery store. If is extremely I overwhelming. And sunsets and rainbows. Enchroma outside sunglasses and can be used indoors. Also bought him the indoor glasses. Not that expensive.

Sounds like he doesn't have it that bad. Does he see purple? I know it can be hidden by blue. Seen some videos and some don't see it at all till they put glasses on. Hope he gets to see a rare in person rainbow. A diamond in light,disco globe and a rare to location. An Aurura ( dusk/night wave clouds ) be great to see. Can online,but in person. There is a differance.
