Andrew just turned 39 at the end of December, he’s not 40. And Samson is 38. They are not far apart in age

@ Andrew needs to work on his posing. The way he poses shows gaps in physique. He’s not hitting his poses correctly. Samson will always have an advantage against Andrew in side chest shots because Andrew’s pectoral inserts are shorter. Samson’s inserts are longer which helps make the side chest shots look more full. As far as thickness goes Andrew’s chest is denser than Samson’s. Also Andrew’s arms are longer which doesn’t help on the side shots. He’s going to have to change his poses to create the illusion of appearing more full on the side shots. Standing relaxed Andrew looks better than Samson 10 times out of 10 but shows aren’t judged that way

@@SadewWishwajith-ed8zi it is but genetically he has some parts of his physique that only adjustments in posing will fix to the eyes of the judge. The short pectorals and long forearms doesn’t help in most bodybuilding poses. If standing relaxed was an actual pose he would beat everyone on stage every time. He see he is working on growing his forearms this offseason though

To say that it’s make or break for Andrew is laughable. The man has only been competing three years; yes, only three years. Ronnie Coleman didn’t even place in the top 6 in his first six or seven Olympias. Andrew is in an era with very solid bodybuilders just as Samson, Derek, Hadi, and others. Andrew needs to just stay healthy and continue to improve - no need to put a deadline on his progress. Shawn Rhoden won his Olympia at 43 and he had been competing for a lot longer than Andrew. The same was being said about Samson; as if finishing sixth at the Olympia, followed by an Arnold Classic win, a third place at the Olympia and two second places behind Hadi was a bad thing. Samson took his time and fixed “progressively” whatever needed to be fixed. He took it one show at a time and that’s what Andrew needs to do.

AJ cannot be compared to late Shawn Rhoden , you are making critical mistake.Problem with AJ is his length of limbs, and fact that he refuse to take what other pros are taking to be the best.But he did fine so far, i guess.
