Speak for yourself. John loves to impart knowledge and is extremely skilled at it. You sound like you don't own a single one of his instructionals. They're fucking gold. I own 8 of them since first purchasing one back in 2016. They've revolutionized my game and made clear huge concepts that were never even taught when they should've been back at white and blue belts. The man's a genius. We should count ourselves very fortunate to have someone out there who is as willing to study so deeply these arts and who has the uncanny ability to articulate everything in such an easy to understand format. Your comment is complete trash. I think it's time to look inside yourself and figure out what's really bothering you about life. Then go do something about it instead of trying to tear a man down for likes.

The way i learned the anaconda you would have ideally to first drag your opponent from his knees so that his belly touches the floor, and only then use the gator roll. Because if you roll while your opponent is still on his knees, he might stand strong enough to withstand your roll. I have done this a couple times myself actually.

@ not sure, but he references it in this video as well. He invented it long time ago, but I believe he called it the inverted or reverse katagatame. One of his students from New York, Joe D’arce went to a tournament in California and was submitting ppl with it. Nobody had seen it before so they started calling it the D’arce choke. There’s probably videos on KZbin explaining it better than I can.
