don't worry guys, the average rap song is very respectful of women and has positive messages for society, which is why the radio and Spotify and social media is awash in it, but we must ban anything that is bad for society, ok? People have become pussies because of the bullshit woke liberal agenda being pushed literally everywhere. (I’m not conservative) People have to realize that all media is, is a tool to control the way that you perceive reality. If they control your perception of reality, they can control you by making you act in a way that is more predictable for them. That’s exactly why they try to divide us with the two party political bullshit, when in reality we’re all on the same team and need to work together to make the world a better place. The world would be a better place if everyone could learn that it’s OKAY to be offended and that it really doesn’t make that big of a difference.

Notice how Piers Morgan this time is more comfortable agreeing with Andrew Tate publicly, and then notice how he also proclaims the previous interview's graph of audience exposure, did Piers Morgan just invite Andrew Tate twice where the first time was to use him as a mop to clean his PR in a comparative implication fashion, and the second time as an audience bucket to agree with him and satisfy the malding mob proportion that had joined his community to then gain them ? Just being cautious, but i'm open to different perspectives that might happen to oppose mine =)

10:00 -- Asmon is referring to our society wrongly being results-oriented in almost every aspect, and "the science" has definitely pushed that results oriented behavior/thinking. Not actual scientists, but those who "report" on science. We need to be process-oriented like he said. If you get caught in the results-oriented trap, then the ends can justify the means, and that can be catastrophic if we're not careful. I was just talking to my family about this on Thanksgiving, oddly enough. This commentary from Asmon is why I watch.

The issue with social media is that they actually *aren’t* good facilitators of debate, they’re good at reaffirming one’s beliefs. They prioritize the most popular comment within a thread which inherently reflects the views of the OP’s/sub’s subscribers while deafening any opposition to the belief. What results is typically a massive echo chamber where any dissenting remarks are spite voted or even banned outright - this happens on both sides. I’ve found some rare occurrences in social media where you can find a structured discourse without a majority swaying the conversation, but these are far and few. The effects that a ranked comment system has on people is highly understated, people tend to side with the most upvoted comment.

Asmon, I’m very new to your channel. Am also a doctor and a scientist. I just want you to know, that your thoughts on scientific method are very accurate. People should indeed worship the method, not the result. And one of the things that was true during COVID is that the wider population was seeing scientific method unfold in real time. And that often means that we arrive at incorrect conclusions that we then correct using the scientific method. Props to you for being so right about science.

but its a problem when no one can admit they were wrong isnt it - and when the conversation to the alternate result is shut down - then its no longer a scientific method right?
@TheBatracho

@@realwishgamer That is exactly right. In this way science is similar to democracy: you need to be able to say that you were wrong and change your views when presented with empirical data, similar to how democracy won’t work if people refuse to accept electoral defeat.

@TheBatracho
@TheBatracho Жыл бұрын
@@Xoulrath_ it’s not perfect, but it’s the best thing we got by a country mile for getting actual facts. One thing I dislike is that when scientists actually go ahead and admit that they didn’t know better earlier is that people start saying that you can no longer believe scientists and that it makes us look like we don’t know what we are doing. Thing is, when this happens (as with the beginning phase of COVID), nobody knows better either, and we still have a much better chance of getting it right that an average person. So it’s still very wise to listen to scientific consensus, and as our understanding evolves, so will the recommendations of actual experts. This shouldn’t be used to discourage listening to scientific consensus, but it is important for everybody to understand the strength of the evidence on which any conclusions are drawn.

The research papers cited are almost always cherry picked for information. If you take time to read the study in full you will learn a lot . Pay attention to the study size, as well as further references for other related research... they are always worth reading if you want to understand a subject.
