The public education system was meant to create mind-programmed robots...mission achieved! Work 9-5 for 45 years or so & maybe by then your house will be paid off. That's after you re-mortgaged it 10 times throughout the years for remodeling or extra expenses. So, the 30 year mortgage now takes 40 years... the kids 2 of them of course boy and a girl keep needing more college funds & the dog needs cataract surgery that the kids demand he needs but, pitch in No cash to help with the bill. Yeah, sounds like a Real 🥳 party.

Half of higher education is useful, half of it isn't. 4 year degrees should be 2 years, going all the way back to high school. Most people should graduate at 16 and head to a 2 year college. You do not need to 3 P.E. electives, 2 courses of history, and 2 course of advanced english to do a technical job. Colleges need to cut out all the fat, the same goes for high school.

The educational system teaches too, “Read remember and repeat” That’s not learning, that’s gathering information baby! Learning is , when you consciously entertain a idea. With the same amount of hours, what would be the best way to learn a language then for example...? Just ,playing, with class mates during class time or working hard to try to comprehend and memorise the ,basic, grammatical structures to then be able to aply then when ,alone, with no mates around to ,play, with you and to ,help, you..a lot of compulsary school stuff is ,useless, in practical terms maybe, but somethings are only possible to learn well or with a lot of discipline and work or...lucky enough to have a looooot of hours or time to absorve them like a sponge through a kind of a ,simple, survival imitation mode..

If u take a math proof course, u will realize that it is nothing like “remember and repeat”. Yes there is reading, but u read to acquire knowledge to *apply* it. Yes, memorizing formulas now gets u nowhere in being able to write a good proof. U need to know how to apply what u know to piece together the puzzle and prove a statement. And that is the learning that u are talking about. So I think it depends on which major u are talking about.

Where tf do you live? When I asked this question, I got scolded for 3 hrs daily to make sure I don’t repeat what I said. I wish I had the same parents as you. 😗
