Thank you so much for this, i turn 17 in November, i lost my mom in January which only made my mental health worse, i went to the mental hospital in February and march and stopped going to school, i bed rotted until school started back up a few weeks ago, not to be that type of person but my mom passing was a weight off my shoulder, she was the type of mom holding me back, constantly asking for the money i worked for to pay for drugs while she slept all day. But it did make me feel so lost, her passing was so unexpected and she was the only person who listened to me emotionally even though she was such a bad mom, this is the video i need for my motivation to get back up, some more things happened recently that made me have a different outlook on life, i closed my circle and now only the people who showed me they are worth my time get my energy

I am a 14 year old girl, I am typically known as a quiet girl to people. I have family problems one being my parents have been divorced since I was 4, and the difficulty of stand up to my dad for his wrongs. It is really hard to have people talk down about you when they don’t know what you’re really dealing with and I find it hard to talk to people about it even with my mom. On a sad note I have even dealt with some family problems with taking their lives away including me wanting to at one really dark time. So far I really find it comforting to listen to music and play my ukulele which really helps me stop being depressed. My son is trying to start his YT journey as well, and I believe in him and keep encouraging him to not give up and to try new things. I will be showing him this video for inspiration. We've already had the pr0n talk and I've shared with him how it didn't and doesn't do anything good for our lives. I had YT dreams (and still do), but even at my age, I have my fears. I don't want to see my son crippled by the same fears, so I will keep encouraging him. I just wanted to share a bit. Thanks for your time.

I got this on my feed and quite honestly what a woman over 50 would have on common with a new 18 year old defies YT algorithm but i decided to watch you and im so glad i did. I found donetjing in you i havent seen in a lot of younger kids 21 and under. None of them analyse their life and put their heart and dole into things- rather they move with what is trending or that comes to them. But watching you i saw you strive with the chances that come your way and you fall full force into them. That can lead to heartache and victory. Both need to be respected and learnt from. Thank you for posting your story. I needed to hear it to not be disheartened by the young of today and realise winners are made not born.

I know everything is easier said than done. But. Keep striving for what it is that you believe for yourself. If you stop, build yourself back up brick by brick, and go again. You will feel helpless for a time, then feel euphoric the next and so on. Just keep moving and remember to be kind to you, while building yourself amongst discipline. It's okay to rely on and push yourself but it's also okay to ask for help. I'm truly sorry for your loss. I believe in you, so believe in yourself.

It is crazy how I am seeing this just 3 weeks after quitting a 4 year long p*rn addiction. It is so scary and such a horrible thing that exists because of how easy it brainwashes adolescents, but also because of how easy it is to get access to. I recently stopped because of realization, and everything feels much better now. I even went as far as to confess EVERYTHING to my parents because of how much regret and sadness I felt over everything I had done during the past year or 2. I no longer have these twisted fantasies of people close to me or people around me, and I am no longer addicted whatsoever. I am forever grateful for finally escaping the "p*rn swamp" I was stuck in. I wish people talked more about this as it ruins so many people (it almost ruined me and it was so scary).

As a 15 year old, i kind of relate to this. Being rejected all the time. always being the disliked one. Loosing loved ones. having a hard time on school etc. ive been broken and hurt all the time, i finally found that one good friend in my life but they left too.. but i never really realized that the one good friend was always there infront of me.. she was there through it all but i couldnt see it till now. Im homeschooled because of the pandemic so its been much harder for me to find friends that didnt want to use me… this friend i have, (I still do) has been here with me since the beginning, she was an amazing person in my life and im glad i have someone like her. There is nothing that can tear our friendship apart now. We have had many good times and many bad times but we get through them, push past them, and work it out till we start moving forward again When i heard i lost my my childhood dog… i lost it.. she passed away at 17 years old (shes my pfp) and we had her since she was 2 years old. I was heartbroken when i lost her. But my best friend… she was there for me she helped me get through it and now im here today because of her. NEVER GIVE UP! ALWAYS KEEP WALKING AND MOVING ON! Always have that one good friend who will help you throughout the hard times, but never put too much pressure on them. (Sorry its a long text)

Loneliness affects everyone differently *but* it’s still such a horrible thing to experience. Like they say: *”You can be in a room full of people and still feel alone”* and, coming from experience, this is gut wrenchingly true. I am a proud Mum of 3 teenagers who are not “into partying” either, and that’s ok! My 17yo still receives invites occasionally but, he doesn’t like the atmosphere of drunk and / or drugged people so, he politely refuses the invites. Yes, I worry about them becoming isolated and “losing friends” but, I will never ever force them to do anything they’re not comfortable with doing. You message is a powerful one, Jak, and I applaud you for being brave enough to retell your oh-so-relatable school journey and for not giving up! I’m sure your parents are very proud of you, as am I. xox

Life carries on, even if your dreams get shattered. As long as the brain is operational and your body is alive... you will always have the capacity to dream. Dreams can change, or stay the same. They can be achieved.. or never see the light of day. But the ultimate dream is the journey of life. Regardless of how rocky the road... the dream of having a destination.. is the only dream that is guaranteed to be achieved.

I don't watch KZbin that much but I came across this video in the recommended and clicked on it. It's quite aberrant how many parents think their teenagers have changed behavior because of hormones or simply environment, when in fact their children were struggling with the hardest years of their lives. It's hard to be an adult, but it's even harder to be a teenager and so that no one understands you. I am extremely grateful for watching this video! And for the rest, make up your mind what you want, and if you are afraid that you will lose everything you have gathered in life,I will leave a place next to the poets who are dead but still alive. In the end it's just a graveyard and a lot of fog. So love, learn, do and become what I want
