Andrew dismantles the bad mindset that God is slow to answer prayer and that we need to relentlessly beg and pressure God before He will finally answer us.
He also shares about the difference between old and new covenant prayers like "God come" or "rend the heavens" or "create in me a clean heart" and similar prayers like that.
Make sure you watch part 1 first:
• Andrew Wommack - A Bet...
And then part 3:
• Andrew Wommack - A Bet...
"This kind of teaching where you have to go in and plead with God... is a teaching against the goodness and mercy of God"
"God wants revival more than you want revival"
"If you pray in the new testament the way that people pray in the old testament, you're wrong"
"Quit begging God to do what He told you to do"

Jesus taught about a woman that was seeking justice for her son.She went before the judge many times in order to get that justice.Finaly the judge relented because of her persistance.This is an example of how we are to pray.We pray over and over.I prayed 10 times a day for 3 weeks once to receive the unemployment i wanted.I not only received the 6 months i was entitiled to,,,i received 2 years worth of it.WOW,,,i would not have thought that being persistant would have gotten me 4 fold blessing.

@TheMondofondo lol read the rest of the passage --- "HOWEVER, when the son of man comes, will He find faith on the earth?" It takes no faith to 'cry out day and night'.

u should listen to fred k price's take on this story. he says that u dont have to pray over and over again cuz it would seem as a child asking their parent over and over again for something, as if the parent wouldnt wanna give their child something and they have to keep asking? also, keep in mind that the judge was UNJUST and our father is not unjust, He wants to help us. its an example like when it says that "if you being evil give ur children good things, how much more will our heavenly CONT.

Hi Pat;I think that when we pray consistently for something that it will tell us by our own continual asking that:Do we really want this thing?I knew that praying sooo much for that unemployment that YES i really wanted it.But;there are things we might pray for that after a small amount of praying we will realize if we really DO want that thing.Make sense? (kinda?)

@TheMondofondo I think your right sir.Theres unbelief that limits The effectiveness of prayer.Remember when jesus tried to heal in his home town?He was almost ineffective there because of the unbelief.

Why do so many preachers teach the greek tense of the verbs for seek ask and Knock are active repetitive?
@tomjstone
@tomjstone 4 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure about others, but maybe people teach this because the verb "ask" in Luke 11:13 (He gives the Holy Spirit to them who ASK him) is a present active participle. A good translation is "He gives His Holy Spirit to those who ARE ASKING Him."

Sorry, but Andrew Wommack is wrong: 'But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” Since you call on a Father who judges each person’s work impartially, live out your time as foreigners here [in this life] in reverent fear.'- 1st Peter 1:15-17

I like the teaching but... doesn't it sound like God made US gods to do miracles and now we can go on our own to do them without consulting God???? Our faith must work together with the prayers and there is nothing wrong with intercession (I think)... God is the same yesterday, today and forever. The mercy was the same in the OT as it is today (Ps. 103)

'Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.'- Galatians 6:7-9
