I have been playing electric and steel string guitar for 35 years, never understood the joy of classical...until I heard Tavi Jinariu play your song "Lament". It changed everything for me. I bought myself a classical guitar, and all I do now is practice, practice and practice. I'm half way with Lament, but it's so difficult. You are such an inspiration with all your fantastic music! I wish I knew this 20 years ago...

@@YasmanyPuga I was referring to the long published 'Simple Etudes' which were published as 4 books of 5 studies each. Those are a staple in the modern teaching repertoire. I believe Mr. York could add to that well used bey of teaching material.

Your music is such a big inspiration to me! Last year I learnt ''Home'' and I just learnt ''Lament'' a few days ago. Next one is ''Deepening'' and then slowly build myself up to ''Numen Suite'' and with lots of practice ''The equations of beauty''. Each note is so full of soul and love towards music that I am just diving deeper and deeper into understanding it more. Thank you for sharing your beautiful art wholeheartedly with us!

to me another masterpiece of mr. york. while listening to it, it gives me somehow a feeling of classical music as such, but also sounds of what had been described as "new age", - i remember listening to this windham hill productions in the early 80ies (sigh).. i guess when music triggers memories it´s always something wonderful.. thank you for that, and merry christmas, mr. york!

Numen was one of the first guitar pieces I learned which was composed in non-traditional time. That was so long ago. I was absolutely thrilled when the suite was released. I just love this whole suite, and appreciate that Andrew and Annie somehow continue to improve the production quality of their videos - such a joy to watch/listen. My only critique would be extremely minor: are those pajama bottoms!?! That's the only thing that would explain to me the two thumbs down. But even if so - it seems sorta fitting in the COVID environment. Thank you, thank you, thank you - and peace to you both this holiday season.

I once commented that if I was a medieval king and the lutenist beside my throne couldn't play this piece l might suggest that learning a fair rendition would be a good way of keeping his gonads, just to motivate of course. But....1)Time travel is currently unavailable. 2)l am a peasant who is loving learning Numina on guitar.
