Braed I do similar work as Andrew with very similar equipment. My jobs are always different and usually interesting. The money is good and it’s keeping me in shape. I’m 59 tho.

Why you don’t let relatives do work for you. The person had awesome intentions of tying to save the folks some money. Usually they don’t have the right equipment like Andrew. So the job gets half done and the home owner ends up having to hire someone like Andrew. Which ends up costing more than if they would have just hired Andrew in the first place.

In my opinion it is not right to not do the job to a customer's expectations. It will only cost them more money to fix the inexperienced mistakes. I am speaking in general. Not trying to say you are inexperienced.

Ahhhh yes, nothing like cleaning up a mess by someone else, had to do this a few times myself, we would not get the "job" but when the other guys pulled out we would go complete the job, I lost track of the number of times we bid a job and told the customer to be careful of lower quotes for work without it being done A to Z. Good video, showed what it takes to do it right!

Really liked the shots of the scrap yard. Must be a really efficient operation to be confined to such a small lot along the river. Probably loading barges pretty often I guess.

That new skid steer really has some balls! Plus it is quiet. What a huge upgrade from the bobcat. But you build your fleet slowly and as you can. I do the same thing but in a different line of work. Great work!

Thanks for the great video mate ,nice to see the new equipment get a good workout on a project ,as with most things when a home owner wants to save money by trying to do some work themselves ,it usually ends up costing them more .With plumbing it's nearly guaranteed after Christmas and Father's Day ,to get panicked phone calls that someone's just discovered the limits of there expertise. What a mess you had to deal with. It always amazes me how people neglect and trash their own property until it gets so bad that there is no way for them to ever clean it up by themselves again. But of course that is where you come in and get your chance to turn the place around with your expertise. Unless you could easily sell it for over $50 its not worth the hassle of separating it out. Even scrap metal is barely worth it unless there's a pile of it or theres aluminum and copper.
