Andrew, your channel will blow up, you're such a good teacher. New players should be grateful to have this great teaching method. If I had this back in the late 1970s, I would have become a super pro player in steed of a high level pro.

Thank you for all the help that you have provided us during the last few years, you and other content creators have been the only and major guidance that I have had since I started playing guitar 3 years ago. Currently I am feeling confident enough to start learning songs by ear and even upload my own videos with tabs created by me. But there is one thing that I find challenging even after watching your videos to learn by ear. Rhythm is something that can be tricky to get right specially when it is a very fast song and this seems to be ignored in most sources talking about ear training, apart from this, many songs use minor and major 7th chords and identifying them is a lot harder than finding regular major and minor chords within a scale. If you have time and you want to, I am sure that many like me would like to see if you have any tips for these in a future video. For now, I will continue training!

Andrew will get a lot more views. He is a great teacher. Check out one of his early videos on guitar solo. Your jaw will drop off. You will be wondering if that is what great players have been trying to teach all this while. He makes guitar solos look so simple. Check that out. U hit the tonic of each chord in the progression, the you add up notes gradually. I shared it with some people in Africa.

Can you Explain how the Diagonal Pentatonic scale is a C major/ A minor if it starts on the G note on the low E string? Like how do you get the name and is it moveable
@andrewclarkeguitar
@andrewclarkeguitar 3 ай бұрын
It's the same scale, just starting on a different note. The C major/A Minor pentatonic scale has the notes: C D E G A. And we're starting it on the G. Just like position 3 starts on a D note but is still the C Major/A Minor pentatonic scale. A scale has much more to do with all the notes within it rather than which note it starts on.

Hey I've a question is learning every note important in guitar?
@srujayt
@srujayt 3 ай бұрын
if you memorize the notes on Low E and A strings, using them you can easily find other notes on the fretboard. Learning notes gives you fretboard freedom
@andrewclarkeguitar
@andrewclarkeguitar 3 ай бұрын
As mentioned by someone else, I'd start with the E and A strings. You can then use a cool little trick called "octave centers" to find the notes on the other strings instantly. Here's a video on it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mYrMdIGApJ6Aba8
