I have played the new EP just once but will give it more airplay. I like the different cover and the whole 4 Non Blondes/Strokes feel to give Ringo a different sound which was needed.

As you probably know, Ringo did spend a few days in a coma when he was six years old - he was indeed a sickly boy. Is this record him wondering whether he's still in that coma, and his entire life has just been a dream?

At last! Now I can get my mitts on this EP after missing out on RSD. Got to say that I do love a good lyric as well as a catchy melody, the lyrics more so being an Eng Lit A-Leveller from the early eighties. (Do they still do A-Levels?) But even so these songs are good to my ears, I streamed the EP when it first came out in april? We truly are getting spoilt with material from the Fabs, only 11 days and counting until I get my vinyl and 2CD copy of one hand clapping and just over a month til Mind Games. We are in the midst of a Beatles fans heaven of new stuff right now. So come on Apple, how about Let It Be on Blu-ray and that Rubber Soul box we're all chomping at the bit for? Oh, I before I forget. Happy Birthday Sgt Pepper...It was 57 years ago today...... Thanks so much for this video Andrew, much appreciated, and always enjoyable....

Your RSD vinyl looks much nicer than mine. Mine looks like a black vinyl that someone spilt a bit of white paint on.

Wow! Your RSD release actually looks like I expected it to look. Mine barely had a couple of streams of white. It looks more like a dusty record than a cool marbled one.

@@AndrewDixonMusic I think Ringo posted a video on instagram showing them being pressed, and all of those looked a lot like mine. Glad to see some did get out there correctly. Most I’ve seen on KZbin look a lot like mine too.

I’m personally glad that Ringo is going back to the album format instead of these 4 song EPs that cost as much as a full album I’m also happy that it’s a country record instead of the mediocre stuff on these EPs

did you know rgw RSD american vinyl is much different than the uk and possibly other regions as well, the american version has very little splatter and the uk is almost grey with much much more splatter

It's a fine EP although how on earth they can justify charging it as a full price album is anyone's guess. Amazon is currently £12.80! I've bought all of Ringo's EPs as downloads via 7digital for around £2 or £3 each. Far more reasonable.

I generally like Ringo's EP's more than I liked his last few albums ("What's My Name" was terrible...), but why, for consistence sake, doesn't the vinyl versions have all the same size? "Zoom In" was a 12"' single (ok, that one had 5 songs), then "Change The World", "EP3" and "Rewind Forward" were 10" singles and now "Crooked Boy" (4 songs!) is a 12" single again. As to the CDs, these being EPs, I would much prefer having them in slim plastic cases than in normal jewel cases. These things take up a lot of shelf space...

"The lyrics are absolutely nothing..." I would expect no less from the composer of one of the worst songs I've had the displeasure of ever hearing (that 4 Non Blondes tune, you know the one). But I'm glad that the music is compelling, I'll just pretend I didn't find out who co-wrote it. ;-)

You got lucky with the vinyl. A lot of us got a black vinyl with a couple of white specs. Kind of a rip off. Maybe an American difference? Anyway, this is my least favorite ep so far. In general i find the eps to be bland. I hope he can redeem himself with the country album.

@@scottgoehlert6052 Absolutely, But Ringo can't sing and he never could. Now he is constantly out of tune and it is a pain to hear him. How many would give his records even five minutes if he wasn't a Beatle?
