Well it's like with Wilson Fisk in the Netflix-Daredevil... We've already been through this. - But then I also felt more fascinated by some other baddies instead of the protagonist, such as The Joker in The Dark Knight, which was just more interesting. Perhaps not exactly empathizing with him in that same way, but we've definitely had characters that you could "understand" more.
