The symbolism of the voice parts in the B section is really touching - First Andrew tries to pull Rob up, but he keeps slipping back down into dissonance. I really like the idea of making shorter songs like you were talking about, a little nap. No song structure, no rules. Just a vibe, a few lyrics, or not, and about 45 -90 seconds. Always my favorite time of the year, coming across FOO. It gets better and better each year, not to diminish the previous albums....all of them written and recorded in one day is no small feat. Several songs this year hit me on different emotional levels. "Usually", "Magic", and "Dorian" specifically. Certain lyrics kind of tug at the right or wrong places for me recently. I've long struggled with depression and anxiety. The last 6 months have been probably the hardest in the last 6 years for me on an emotional and mental health level. But I've started to get help. One of the outlets I once had was playing guitar....but over the last several years I've given it up. This years FOO album has me wanting to pick up a guitar again and find a way to write those emotions out, even if the songs never go anywhere. The cathartic release of playing and singing the emotions out may be something I need to do. Thank you guys for the long 5 days as a band haha.

I’m surprised I didn’t see this a year ago, but…I’m really glad I did see it now. I guess-I guess I’ve been struggling for a while. It feels like a long while. And I just know I’ve seen a lot of Rob’s content where he’s been talking about his mental health issues. Honestly I haven’t “seen” it, when ever I play one of those videos I start thinking about myself and it’s just…well cracking that door is about all I can do before I slam it shut and lock it up again. Today I was not my best. And, at least to everyone else, I can’t bare for them to see me any other way. But seeing them working together and it not really looking like work, just really great friends being together. God I miss that. I think about the things I’ve heard Rob say about this past year and I imagine maybe he hadn’t ever really told Andrew but I think that Andrew could still sense it and wanted to be there for his friend and this song, this collaboration, it was like they were really, REALLY, saying the things that they wanted to say to each other, but maybe couldn’t. At least I hope that they felt this way. And damn, thinking of all that and watching well. It was very nice 😅 Take care

Most of the times, music helps me coping with my inner feeling and demons but i can handle my feelings most of the time. But this song. To be honest with you, made me tear up nearly instantly. Im going trough some rough times with lots of self doubts and stress. And only the first line is enough to get my eyes wet but also the "second View" of the supporting friend which represent my friends and most of them my girlfriend also shows the side, of the people who are always their for me. Its such a short song. But its so powerful and perfectly describes my sitution lately.
