Love this! I’ve been waiting in anticipation to see your tour of it! Firstly, well done to Bürstner for thinking outside the box with this one. I think the answer is to make caravans lighter, smaller and and more aerodynamic. The Americans seem to insist that self-propulsion is the answer, but simple good design to reduce weight, drag and improve aerodynamics are going to achieve the same thing for a lot less money, opening a concept like this up to a much wider audience. I LOVE the multi-use furniture, especially the kitchen. Those who’ve followed my vintage Cheltenham caravan project will have seen the same idea, I’m improving it further for my next restoration. Not carrying an onboard cooker in addition to external cooking equipment is going to save space and weight. It’s a lot of the small touches that impress me too - the acoustic wall panels, adaptable lighting, adjustable height for the kitchen when outside, the multi-use garage area… it’s all brilliant. I will be following this one closely. Let’s hope it makes it to production and also that it’s affordable!

I absolutely love it too. I agree with all of your comments as well. If I may add a few more comments I have to compliment yours: 1. The dry toilet idea, I'm not a fan of at all. 2. The space under the bed is perfect as a bunk for a teenager. Love the lighting and storage under there. It could also be a lovely space for your pets as well. 3. I love the kitchen so much! I actually like the idea of one side of the caravan been sealed off from prying eyes. The decor is gorgeous! 4. The lighting seems to me to be perfect. I'd like to see what it's like outside of the convention centre. Charging the lights wouldn't be a problem for me. I already do it. It's one of those jobs you'd do when you take it back to storage. Empty the fridge, mop the floor, charge the lights etc... With a few solar panels on the roof, by the time you're ready to go back out in it, everything is fully charged again. 5. I wouldn't take the dinette out of the van. Esp not in the UK anyway. The removable kitchen is fantastic! Finally, I love it and am excited to see how this progresses.

Very, very impressed Andrew! With this video as well, brilliant review! Onwards & upwards! See if this can be beaten, don't hold your breath!! Hugs xxx 😘🥰🐶🐕

In my opinion Pros: Very beautiful design. Innovative. Practical. Good size. Definately you'll find many new friend once you park this on the campsite. Cons: The washroom could be bigger with a fix toilet. Relying in only one energy source, is not a good idea when you are out with the caravan, Once the electricity fails of any reason, you have to book a room in a nearest hotel. Also this is ONLY summer time caravan. It can be used only 3-4 month of the year in the countries like UK or north Europe. No insulation and your upper torso will freeze during the night in that bed. I guess it will be expensive once it comes to the market, so the question is, If it worth buying it and use only few months of the year.

Absolutely amazing! Really love it! It’s so strange that Bürstner makes the coolest concept caravans, the Harmony Concept was also amazing, and yet their production models just feels like a LMC with different colour scheme. Bürstner should really start making these cool concepts into production models so they become more unique in the caravan market!

Whoever designed this has come up with some significant ideas. That bed and the extension is so clever. The kitchen layout is superb and that door to the front locker just wow. I don’t think I’d be inclined to take the seats out but I can see that it could be useful. Love it!

Like the external shape and aerodynamics. Having a rear garage is likely to cause instability issues if used for heavy loads. No wardrobe? Kitchen looks a bit cramped tho nicely finished. Would want proper toilet, and the seating looks uncomfortable. Nice interior finish tho. Love the big fridge, hope it's a compressor.

Hari OM OOOOHHHHHHH, Andrew, this one is lush! Owes quite a bit to the campervan movement, I cannot help but observe, with the styling, but that's what makes it so attractive. I really like that 'nose utility', making sense by the door, moving seamlessly to living and then sleeping. I think it would be quite nice to have a bunkbed arrangement, as not everyone wants a double, and then there would be even more locker/storage space available. Very nice, Burstner! YAM xx

Love it. I tow an Eriba and the aerodynamic shape does help when towing. I like the idea of a removable kitchen unit. It saves the weight of having both inside and outside cooking facilities. I think removable lights are a bit of a gimmick. Portable USB rechargeable lights cost peanuts anyway without the need to remove your lights from the caravan. However that is a small detail. The only real downside is the lack of a view to the front. I like to people watch. I too am not convinced by the dry plastic bag toilets. I thought we were trying to avoid plastic bags. I cannot see the problem with the standard cassette loo as long as green fluid is used. It might be a different thing for those going off grid in campervans and avoid them dumping their waste in the countryside although if they dump their bags it would be worse.

I see here a lot of good ideas. As a driver of a Model 3 and towing a 800kg caravan with no aerodynamic, Im exited to see that the caravan world is trying to adapt the new models to be towed by EV, saving weight and including aerodinamic on the design. Also, I'm pretty sure that there is room for improvement on the inertia brakes to help the regenerative brakes

This is absolutely genius, love it! The kids room idea is brilliant, privacy for them and for mum and dad. Lots of space to sit as a family and play games without having to faff about putting beds away. I see what you mean about the removable/rechargeable lights... a fix would be utilising induction charging when they're on the wall mounts so they can continuously charge and be swapped out with the pendant. Only other thing is how will an awning fit with the new shape? Other than that, brilliant!

I absolutely love this! The flexibility is fantastic! For instance I would want a version to not have the bed extension, but just have the bed and use the downstairs section exclusively for storage. This makes long term travel really workable. However the caveat to that is the need for weight stability; perhaps the water storage could be towards the front as well. IDK what all the options are but I do know you can't have a lot of weight at the end of a caravan. I'm in Australia and the market for this could be excellent. I would add an awning to the side, essential for the weather here can be very hot indeed. Also air conditioning is essential as are solar power panels.

The caravan looks really beautiful and has alot of great ideas, but for electric vehicles it probably needs to be a bit less wide and maybe inflateable in height as even wit more aerodynamic design and less weight, it still has a huge profile against the wind.

That is a lot of clever design, the only thing that springs to mind, is that when you are in bed, is there good soundproofing where your heads will be? I am also not sure about the front outside storage, it is probably more weight than the benefit it offers. I love the inside/outside use of the kitchen and seating, such a well designed multi use idea.

It’s great to see new ideas being brought to concept. I really like the ideas in there. The kitchen looks amazing and the front locker looks great. I think the lights could do with charging whilst in place in the caravan (a usb socket in the ceiling with a braided cable along with the rope they currently have). I like the idea of taking the benches out but would that compromise how comfortable they are? I wish you could borrow caravans like this to try how well they work.

Andrew - great video and here’s some Burstner feedback - it’s touted as aero but the back end in spite of it having a low wing (not a step!! And curious to see if like older airstreams it has a smooth underside) a flat back is akin to having a parachute out back - they should consider some tapering off the roof at least. Aero is everything and when we moved from a swift 25ft to a airstream 684 (so another 500ish kg our tow vehicle (on the flat roads at least ) still had the same mpg. I liked the wheels - shades of the Morgan 3 but maybe a bit too thin. Given the pitch (pun) on adaptation on furniture scrap the side garage door and convert the back to a drop down ramp (like our friends at Knauss) the bedroom insulated canopy (which I assume is inflate off onboard compressor) would still pivot off the main body. All in loved it but still love our 684 but always an eye on the future where at some point we’ll have to downsize. Burstner build it - but keep an eye on the price/quality/speed and we want all 3!

Maybe could use the collapsible inflated concept for the upper side walls to lower roof while driving to improve aerodynamics...and bring it under 2 metres to give classe 1 toll charge on French autoroutes

Love the visual. Would have been interested to see the bedroom extension folded in to have a better understanding of how it looks and stores. I am thinking about the scenario of having to move on when it has been raining and folding in a wet bump out. I agree with you about not want to poop in a bag. I would not take out the seating - what a faff. I see where they are going with the removable cook top but definitely in the US van lifers have far easier portable induction cook tops that store more easily and allow for more bench top space. If I were designing it then I would have it on slide out brackets that you can access from the exterior through some kind of hatch so you can slide it internally / externally to provide the ability to use it both internally and externally without the need to lift it and carry a bench outside.

Really great concept. But feels like it would suit a couple more than a family. Although I like the idea of our kid having their own den we have lots stored in our little garage and it’s difficult to see where it would go. Also we have a hybrid car and the nose weight is very low for the towbar so I’d be interest to see how having the kitchen at the front affects weight and balance. Overall a super design.
