love the video, i can already imagine an impossible ib question based off of the variable resistor 😭

Thank you so much! As always, your videos are really helpful! I just wanted to check, at 2:08, is it "...to give the light bulb 9V"? Thank you!

4:28 How did you get 2.4 for the resistance of the variable resistor I keep getting 1.5

I dont think the animation at 1:43 is actually playing.
@AndyMasley3 жыл бұрын
There's not supposed to be an animation there, just showing the shape of the circuits

He ment that there is an error at 1:42 There is a short circuit shown when it shouldnt be because its all in a series
@immortalmann3094 Жыл бұрын
I've been looking at the diagram of the circuit from this time stamp. And I did understand the previous paralel configuration, this series configuration is giving me a hard time...maybe its just the visualization but, i just cant see the series here. At exactly 1:42 the current (in theory) should go directly into R1 due to a short wire, while the R2 should be excluded.

Hello, in reference to 2:40, how is "1/Req = 1/4Ω + 1/R = (4Ω+R)/4ΩR" ?
@AndyMasley2 жыл бұрын
This is just finding a common denominator
@thomasbeaudet57562 жыл бұрын
@@AndyMasley Apologies, I don't get how finding the common denominator here gives such an answer.
@tiredgirl30742 жыл бұрын
@@carlosminguez1349 because you flip the fraction due to the resistance equation for parallel being 1 over the resistance.
