These videos are hands down the best studio tours on KZbin. Thank you!
@donnycollins17973 жыл бұрын
This is one of the few studio tours where the desk setup has reasonable ergonomics and you can actually see the computer monitor, see and reach the gear. Most have the computer monitors at least two arms lengths away which is insane and some are laughable and really bad for eyes. Here, everything is an an easy reach away. This is a great, simple, effective desk.

How much space is ideal for a production room to you?
@timewasterc4 жыл бұрын
as long as it's quiet... it does not matter to me haha

But if money were no option, I'd take all the space I could get to fit in lots of "pacing" room.
@HistoryInHighDefinition4 жыл бұрын
I've always felt the "double garage" size is close to ideal. I've worked in smaller, though!

I could get by with a good chair, monitors, and a laptop.
@ontogeny64744 жыл бұрын
My thoughts fall into the "woo" category because I'm a fan of the Fibonacci sequence and so-called golden ratio. In musical/ acoustical terms, the golden ratio is a minor sixth. So a room based on the golden ratio would be a room with proportions that are a minor sixth apart in both height to width and width to length. So a space 16' X 24' would be nice and ideal for me. My studio space is 12' x 24' with a vaulted ceiling that peaks at 10.5'. If I shortened the room to about 14.5 feet it would be much closer in terms of Phi. Of course then I wouldn't have room for my gear.

Regarding 37:40 I recommend watching this video: watch?v=36ECSlBDDRA&t=523s If I recall correctly Gibson didn't really want anything to do with Epiphone but then ended up doing a weird low-key collab with them because they sounded pretty tight. Not sure if that's all correct but it was something along those lines
@CalvinBacon4 жыл бұрын
Turns out it was Les Paul, not Epiphone, but I do believe they talk about Epiphone in that episode as well. Good watch nonetheless.

The "Epiphone by Gibson" guitar is a Sheraton II from 1988 (or Sheraton I from 1987 like Chris said). For a detailed story check the official history on the Epiphone page --> --www.epiphone.com/History--
