We love these videos that you explain the product benefits and why we should use them. The fact a product is shiny is usually enough for most buyers but explaining what each product does for the user is crucial as you explain what benefits you like about the product for you. Especially the thunderbolt that has multiple SD ports and how the 1 cable connects everything and charges it as well!

As someone who has just had 2 major neck surgeries, lost my job, probably my career, can’t make much music anymore or enjoy doing things with my kids….. a good chair ($400), MX 3, trackpad for your other hand, and an electric height adjustable table would have saved all that heartache. Don’t discount ergonomics and ensure you do a good desk setup with that gear.

Hi Andrew, I watch your videos everyday! I've learned allot from you and the studios, engineers, and musicians you cover. I find this amazing since I've been a studio musician and engineer for over 50 years. I have had amazing success in my career but as you know we can learn every single day and sometimes even from the newbies. I love how you cover every type of studio as well as some of the most iconic studios in the world. I'm one of the very first musicians to buy and use Sweetwater being from Indiana as my birth state. I have one of the lowest customer numbers in Sweetwater's history so I am a huge fan. I don't want to babble on but I feel like I know you even though we've never met. I just want to thank you and encourage you to keep up the great videos. I would also like to encourage you to show more actual recordings you have done, especially with your wife. I think it's awesome you can make music with her as well. Finally God bless you and protect you as you travel to produce these videos. Dwayne

Saw in one of your previous videos you also care about esthetics in your new room. Then you definitely need to do some cable management on that mic arm. Looks alot like the PSA-1 from Røde . And on that it is possible to hide the cable inside the arm it self, by soldering of the XLR in one end, push the cable trough, and solder it back on . Done that to mine .

I have the OWC Thunderbolt 3 and love it like other OWC products. I just wish they would of put the power connection on the side to make it easy to flip whatever side you want forward. For your use I can see the stock layout is handy. For me I have it connected to my iMac which is hard to get behind to plug things in, so I have the OWC backwards on my desk below the iMac so I easily plug and unplug things as necessary. If the power connector was on the side then it would be easy to flip over to whatever side that works for individual setups.

Love the MX mouse! These OWC docks seem ok but have nowhere near enough ports. I just bought a USB hub with 16 USB-A ports. Would really like a similar one with Thunderbolt/ USB-C.
@bobgulian18582 жыл бұрын
I have had spotty experiences with docks in the past (mostly ports getting deprecated fast). I have a CableMatters one now that seems pretty solid. I'd love to see a rack-based one that holds external SSDs too. All these "ergonomical" devices end up dangling by their cables off my laptop. Gonna get that boom, thanks!
@notlukebenson2 жыл бұрын
Hey man, word of warning on the OWC dock. I have one and I think it’s fried all the USB-C ports on my 2019 MBP. Just this weekend, as I turned on my monitor it was connected to my last remaining USB C port on the laptop. Flash of white on the external display and no more port on my Mac. I’ve read it’s because the MacBook thinks it has to charge the dock, sets up some kind of feedback. But anyway, be careful with them. Love the vids.
@AndrewMasters2 жыл бұрын
Ouch that’s a bummer, I haven’t had any issues over the last year I’ve been using it but I don’t plug my charger in with the hub as it charges on its own. It’s been a life saver for me.

Id suggest the O.C. White Podcast Pro studio mic arm (Its their budget arm, but its killer and cheap) I use a logitech Thumball mouse.. no desk space needed.. ive also used one pro for 10+ years so my thumb eye coordination is killer I have a $2500 Eames office chair.. but id suggest an Aeron because not everyone is design conscious and its the shizzle in office chairs The OWC is great, however its really expensive... there are a number of cheaper options (IF) you don't need TB3 passthrough.. (I'm a macmini for life user have 3 ( 2018 in studio, 2012 theatre comp, 2012 portable tracking studio... I need an M1... waiting on the MM pro first though.. not having any issues mixing in PT Ultimate for TV on my 2018 with video out via a BM Ultrastudio so far.. but im only hitting 30-40 tracks mixing TV Promos and short 5-10 minute sports docs ) That Phone charger is great, I need one.. The battery charger is goofy, you only change the batteries in your mouse every 8-10 months... not worth wasting an AC plug or USB jack for in it your studio. I would suggest a side table or bar cart.. I keep my French press and covfefe mug on it... plus astray and smokes.. best off the desk
