Andrew, Tiniri asks below what the impedance of the "innor coax" is. The inner connector has the shield removed and the shield becomes the inside of the tube of the dipole. This is not 50 ohms but a higher impedance, probably closer to 100 or more ohms. It appears to be a copy of other similar dipoles but missing the superior design.

So good video thank you so much... How could we decide length of the tubes? and positions etc. Best regards.

Don't you want to show us a VSWR chart before and after the mod ?

In terms of continuity test, should the outer and inner part of the connector test short or open?

Hey! How can we lower the tuned frequency I wish to use this for LORa 868Mhz..is there any calculator for this kind of antenna, I've searching for a schematic , no results..Thank you and A Happy New Year!

So, the coax inside the tube is acting as a balun? That's something I have never seen before. I usually use a quarter wave folded balun, however I really liked the sleeve balun you did recently on another Yagi video. Much neater and far less room consumed. I usually earth the centre point to the boom with almost a point connection. (Like a bolt through to the boom). This thing has a huge connection. Guess the bandwidth is increased. Would really like to see frequency response and a VSWR chart.

i have been watching old video of yours..i was wondering if you ever made 1691 MHz antenna with a LNA for GOES-13 satellite specially it needs a parabolic dish to get signals

@@andrewmcneil I notice you put a cupper wire, inside, is a must tu put lmr400 wire like this, or should leave it and only solder the lmr400 cable, I newbie, sorry for asking, the 2 mm cupper wire will fit, inside?

I got one of those cheap chinese yagis off ebay for wifi and when I pulled off the black caps the parasitics were all random lengths and shifted up and down. total pos. must've been made on hangover monday.
